"Haha.. Yeah. Uhmmm can you walk me home please? I'm starting to get cold.." I mumbled.
"Awe, it's been 5 minutes and you're already freezing?" He said disappointedly. I nodded.
He takes off his jacket and puts it around my shoulders. My knees got weak, as I tried to stand up properly. "there, now please a little bit more time? I wanted to talk to you about something, well, something I was thinking about when I first saw you. I was too shy, but now... Now I'm not..."
I nodded and looked into his brown sparkly orbs.
"Well umm, the first time I saw you, it's like it was the first time I saw an angel, I've been trying to talk to you, but I couldn't, but now , I am, it feels amazing whenever I saw you, I'd try to get your attention but it looked like you were always busy, so I backed off. You're beautiful and you should know that, and I wanted you so badly... Every time I didn't see you for a couple days I'd feel worried as if you were my girlfriend, I couldn't stop thinking of you. I hope you feel the same way about me. Umm, do you, feel the same way..?" He said very nervously, dropping his head down to look at the ground. "Yes.." I said smiling and looking down too.. I think my whole face turned red, I've became the most happiest person ever! I paused for a moment and forgot he had a girlfriend... "But don't you have a girlfriend..?" I stuttered.
"Well we finally broke up awhile ago like 2 weeks ago, I got tired of her attitude, and she was controlling me as if I were a doll, and I told her we should brake up, and she cheated on me I finally found out that she's pregnant with another guy too, and she broke promises we made..."
"Oh.... I'm sorry to hear that"
"No it's fine, Uhmmm so what are you doing Friday night?
"I have gymnastics..." I said disappointedly
"Well, okay.. Maybe I shouldn't ask than.."
"About....?"
"I was going to ask you if you wanted to have dinner with me and than go to the movies, but it's fine."
"Awe poor baby" I fooled a around a bit
He smiles and had a soft giggle.
We walk by the beach and I pushed him into the salty water and he dragged me in, we splashed at each other and people were looking like we were idiots leaking for trouble.
After awhile he walked me home with his arm around my shoulder, we laughed and fooled around a bit more, it was so much fun!
Until we saw her ex...
"Oh, uhh hi Aubry, what have you been up to?" Austin says awkwardly, and steps away from me.
"Oh nothing just got my nails done, anyways I'll see you later..." She walks away and starts running as if she has seen a ghost or something.
"Well that escalated quickly" I said
"Yeah. No kidding...."
As soon as we know we are on my stairs just sitting there doing nothing.
"Well I guess this is goodnight." Austin stands up and gives me a hug and a soft tender kiss on the cheek.
"Goodnight to you too" I said smiling.
I walked into the house and I see my mom waiting in the living room, "Kiera baby, why are you so late? There's school tomorrow! It's 10:30pm and you didn't call? Who were you with? And what happened?"
Oh god no, "Uhmmm, mom.. I was with Austin."
"Thank goodness your alright, good thing he protected you right?"
"Uhhhh I guess so..?"
"There's nothing I could ask right now but you can go to your room and get to bed."
"Ok, goodnight mom"
"Goodnight"
