"Reese! Get up now!" My older sister, Cassie, who's 18, almost 19, said as she shook me violently.
"5 more minutes," I grumbled, rolling back over. Right then, Cassie pushed me out of my bed. My Body hit the floor with a bang. Now I was up.
"Have you lost you're ever-lovin mind Cassie?! You don't just go and pushin people outta their bed!" I said in my natural southern drawl, standing up ready to tackle her. She just got a smug look on her face.
"Ya do when they won't wake their sorry butts up," she replied, smiling at me.
"Be real lucky I love you Cass, real real lucky," I said, a small smile forming on my lips.
"You wouldn't do nothin anyway Reece. You know I could take your ass in a second," she shot back, teasing me.
"Yeah right. Keep dreamin big sis," I said while walking over to my closet.
I pulled out my blue colored shirt and some jeans. I grabbed my old dirty boots and threw em on. Cassie had a cream colored plain shirt on that matches her complexion perfectly, and her boots and jeans.
Me and Cassie looked a lot alike. With our crystal colored, piercing blue eyes, tiny waists, angel shaped face, and tiny button noses. The only difference between us was her light brown straight hair, and my light blonde natural semi-curly hair.
"Well there's my 2 wonderful girls," my dad said, sitting down at the kitchen table looking up from his newspaper.
"Hi daddy," we both said, going over and giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"Y'all hungry? I made a pretty good breakfast," mom said, with her southern belle figure standing over the stove.
"No thanks mama," Cassie said for us, "I hafta get to school a little earlier. It's a senior project thing," she said oh so nonchalantly. She was a pretty good liar, and I picked up on how to do it from her.
"And she's my ride, so no thank you," I said. Mom looked at us for a minute, then said, "Ok girls, have a good day at school. You're brother's already left about an 15 minutes ago. We love you."
Me and Cassie have 2 brothers, Cole and Clay. They are both 18. They were super over-protective over us. Did I mention that Cassie, Cole, and Clay are triplets? Well they are.
"Love you too!" Me and Cassie said in unison as we went out the door.
I walked over to Cassie's big black Chevy truck. I had the same one, but mine was red. What can I say? We're country girls.
My truck was in the garage. My dad and the boys are supposed to put a new alternator in it.
"Can I drive?" I asked, practically knowing she'll say no. She gave me a look.
"You're funny Reece, real funny," she said and hopping into the driver's seat.
"Whatever," I grumbled under my breath, getting in the passenger's seat.
When we got to school, Jason was already on the front steps waiting for me. He smiled at me, but his smile didn't quite reach his eyes. He looked a little withdrawn.
"Hey beautiful," he said, kissing me on the lips. I give in and eagerly kiss him back. Jason is my boyfriend of 6 months. I'm not in love with him, but he's in love with me. He's told me before. I just couldn't get the words out. Hell, I was only 17. I didn't even know what love was.
"Go get a room you two," Cassie said, walking past us.
"Not like you don't do this with Mason!" I shot back. Mason was Cassie's boyfriend of 2 years, and they were practically inseparable.
"Where were we?" Jason asked, planting his lips on mine. He pulled me into his lap. His hand found its way up under my shirt. I pulled back.
"Stop," I said looking around. "Anyone could easily see us and go tell my dad. Then we'll really be screwed." My dad was ok with me dating Jason, but I knew he wouldn't tolerate his baby girl having some guy's hand up her shirt. He'd probably kill Jason and lock me in a tower somewhere far from here. And anyway, I really didn't want his hands on me.
"I have to go," I said, giving another quick peck on the lips. I was supposed to meet Chase at my locker soon. I got up and started walking over towards the front building doors.
"Uh, Ok. I love you!" He called after me. I just started walking faster towards my locker.
"It's about time Reesey," Chase said, calling me by the name he's called me since 2nd grade, in his natural southern drawl. That voice could bring any girl to her knees. Except me.
"I was Busy," I shot back, grabbing my books out of my locker for my first 3 classes.
"What did you want anyway?" I asked him, looking up into his big bright green eyes.
"Well I was gonna talk about your tasks on the barn, but since you wanna catch an attitude wit me," he states as he starts to walk off. It was my chore to help Chase clean the stables since he works there. I had totally forgotten to help.
"Wait! I'm sorry I didn't help. Did you tel my dad?" I ask nervously. My dad would probably ground me if I didn't do my chores. "Nah. I covered for you," he said while handing me my 20 bucks that I'm supposed to get for helping.
Without thinking, I gave Chase a quick hug.
"Thanks," I mumbled into his shirt. He put his muscular arm over my back and hugged me back.
"Anytime Reece. I know how much trouble your dad would give ya. And plus I couldn't exactly sit and say you were somewhere sucking Jason's face off," he replied.
"Hey!" I said, slapping his chest. "I was not sucking off anyone's face! But maybe a chocolate bar." I could sit and eat thousands of chocolate bars of I knew I wouldn't die from it.
"OK, OK," he replied, throwing his hands up to surrender.
"I only said it to make ya mad Princess," he said, a sly smile growing on his face. He knew I hated that name. I hit him again.
"Don't call me that you dumbass," I shot back, really pissed off. His eyes got really big.
"Well I'll be damned! Did the perfect little angel Reece Johnson really just curse me?" He said in a teasing manner.
"Ah Whatever. Just walk me to class already," I said, walking off.
"Whatever you say Reesey," he said as he caught up to me. I just smiled.
