The air around me became tight. I felt it pressing into me suffocating me.
"Max, Max! Wake up." A voice like silk echoed in my head. I continued the darkness splitting me apart tearing me away atom by atom. I became jelly only to be awakened as a whole with Tyler yelling into my face.
"Max, what is up with these dreams?" He asked.
"I don't know." I yawned."what time is it?" I asked.
"It's 7:00."he said gently.
"What! I only have a hour to get to my meeting!" I yelled.
"Well you better get up then." He said while walking out the door.
"God Tyler, you drive me crazy."
"Well it's nice to see I have affected your life in some way." He yelled from the hallway.
I rolled my eyes then jumped out of bed.

I woke to two boys yelling about waffles and sausage.
"Seriously dude it's a flipping eggo waffle. You put it in the toaster and eat it."one of them sassed, probably Tyler.
"Well that is not going to stop me from drowning it in syrup! So deal with it." Max shot back,
"You wanna go?" Tyler grumbled.
"Oh please I can take you on any..."
"No, Max it's 7:30. You really need to go." Tyler said.
"Oh crap your right." I heard Max panic then suddenly he was running across the living room.
"Good luck."I said roughly while rubbing sleep out of my eyes.
Max stopped and looked at me.
"You too." He said. Then he stalked out of the room and through the door.
I stood up from the sofa and stretched. Tyler walked in his brown hair a mess on his head. He was wearing shorts and a tank.
"It's like thirty degrees outside." I said questioningly.
"Outside is not inside." He replied smugly.
"Where is the bathroom?" I asked awkwardly.
"Around the corner in the hallway."He said pointing down a small corridor.
"Got it thanks."
I walked off toward it but found myself inside the room where I was originally in. I remembered the bandages wrapped around my torso. Then I recalled the feeling of flying. I wanted to relive it but I also didn't want to. I walked out of the room and found the bathroom across from it. It was small with a bath, sink ,and toilet all crammed in one tiny closet space. I washed my face with the cold water then brushed my teeth with my finger. I took care of the rest of my business then walked out to the scent of fresh fruit and warm chocolate. Tyler greeted me in the kitchen with light buttery pancakes with hot fudge drizzled on top and strawberries garnishing them. He also had made what smelled like coffee but looked like cappuccino. I work in a cafe so I should know.
"Dig in"he said while placing a bowl of spare pancakes and scrambled eggs in the center of the table.
"What?!."I say while sitting down.
"I made food!" He said "is that odd?"
"No it's not. It's just.. this looks really good!" I say surprised.
"Now eat it so we can get to the theatre before it opens." He says.
We dig into the delicious breakfast in silence. I cherish every bite.
"Oh that was to good to be true." I say after we finish.
" I am happy you like it". He replies a smile.
We get up from the table to clean up and after thirty minutes of water and soap we sat in silence wondering what to do next.
"Well this is odd." Tyler said.
"Hay got any winter cloths I can wear so we can visit the theatre?"I asked hoping it would move the conversation forward.
"Yes come with me."

I rush up the steps of the main house and throw open the doors into the familiar messy hallway though this time there are more people standing around and mingling with one another.
"Here comes Maximus Ross of the timber family." A large man announces.
Suddenly the room becomes silent and all eyes turn towards me.
"It can't be!" Some one exclaims!
"I thought all the timber family members had died out." Another man adds.
Voices multiply all stating the same concern and the last.
"How is this possible." A woman shouts.
"Why didn't anyone tell us this." Another man protests
Suddenly a the door of the meeting room swings open and the announcer directs us all inside. By now the crowd has shut up but I still got some dirty looks from people. I was extremely confused on why people were treating me this way. Yes my family had died, yes I am the only survivor, and yet the world still has no sympathy.

She walked out of the closet wearing an old pair of sweat pants and a bright green sweatshirt.
"What do ya think?"she asks shyly.
"We are going to a theater not a ball room dance." I said frantically.
"Ok." She  agreed.
After a few short minutes we were in the car. I sped over the streets trying to get to the theatre as fast as possible. Tess sat beside me looking tired and awkward.
"So, did ya sleep well?" I asked while gliding onto the highway.
"Ya,I guess." She said while pulling out a book.
"What's that?"I asked.
"It's one of the books I was flipping. Through last night. I just wanted to skim through it a little more." She replied while flipping it open to a marked page.
I took an exit off the highway and made a turn left finally arriving at the theatre. I parked and we both got out of the car in silence. She quickly ran to the doors and pulled them open before I could even blink. I hurried up after her into the old building but I found no one there. She was gone.
