Mitch was broken-hearted after getting the news. Who wouldn't be after finsing out the man you love is dead?
He didn't know what to do with himself. He wanted to give up, but the baby inside of him reminded him that he needed to keep going for Scott. This child it the last thing Mitch has of Scott aside from letters and photos.
Mitch would never move on from Scott. Scott was- is the love of his life. Without Scott, Mitch felt drained.
He was depressed for the first half of his pregnancy, the second half his parents came to help him take care if himself and the child.
During the birth, Mitch had no hand to hold. He cried out for his husband, but then he would remember he wasn't there.
Several hours later, Mitch had a beautiful baby girl in his arms. Scarlet Jone Grassi-Hoying.
When he got home from the hospital he laid the baby down in a white crib he was given by Scott's parents, and cried himself to sleep as he held Scott's pillow, which no longer smelt like him.
