The alarm beeped loudly. Eren's eyes flew open. He picked up the alarm clock that was sat on a small table with a lamp and violently threw it across the room. He heard a loud thud before it came crashing to the ground. He sat upright in bed.

"What the hell Eren?!" A voice came from the bed beside him. He looked around and saw Armin sitting on the other bed with a shattered alarm clock.

"You just threw a alarm clock at me" he said, his ocean blue eyes locking with Eren's green-grey ones.

"Sorry Armin, I didn't mean to chuck a fucking alarm clock at you" Eren muttered. He stretched out on the bed.

"Why have you still got that set anyway?" Armin asked. Eren shrugged and rolled over on the bed. Armin got up and then sat himself down on Eren's bed beside him.

"I'm going back to bed" Eren mumbled.

"Eren, wake up will you?" Eren woke to find Armin hovering over his face. He pushed the blond away and looked out the window, where sunset was rapidly approaching in the grey sky. Eren sat back up in bed.

"Hey Eren, I heard there was a new restaurant that's been getting some good reviews somewhere in the city. It's only about half an hour away, would you like to go?" Armin asked

"So, like a date- I mean, yeah, I'd love to go" Eren quickly corrected himself, his cheeks flushing furiously. He had told Armin only about 2 months ago that he was gay, but if he kept of making mistakes, Armin could end up finding out that it was him that he liked.

Eren walked beside Armin, holding an umbrella as the rain poured down from the sky. The streets were glistened with rainwater, that shone in the headlights of cars as they sped down the street, flicking up water from the road and spraying the footpath. The night sky was covered in grey clouds.

"We're here" Armin said, and they walked inside

"Are you sure that you're paying for the whole meal?" Eren asked.

"Yeah, it's the least I can do, staying at your place" Armin replied with a smile. His smile soon faded from his face when he saw people staring at them.

"They obviously think we're dating or something Armin" Eren said as casually as he could. Armin looked Eren in the eye.

"Eren, you never told me who it was that you liked. Tell me, now" He muttered firmly.

"Armin....." Eren trailed off. His heart was racing, his fingers shaking. He calmed himself down and looked down, avoiding eye contact with Armin.

"It's you" he said. Armin's expression quickly changed to one of disbelief.

"Well that explains, everything" Tears started to flow from Armin's eyes. He stood up and ran outside into the pouring rain. Eren sat at the table.

"I'm such a fucking idiot. Why, WHY?!" He growled.

THUD

A scream was cut off from the quiet night. Eren knocked the seat over and ran out of the resteraunt. A car sat in the middle of the road, blood splattered on the windshield. A body lay at the foot of the car. Eren almost fell over.

It was the lifeless body of Armin
