"Why is it when something happens, it is always you three?" - Minerva McGonagall
-------------------------------------------------------
The next people attacked were Justin Finch Fletchley and Nearly Headless Nick. Of course, Harry and I were the main suspects. Only Professor Dumbledore seemed to trust us. The diary's disappearance could not be more strange. Nevertheless, we had to concentrate on the upcoming quidditch match. Currently, we we planning strategies before the game.
"If we play according to our strategies, Hufflepuff doesn't stand a chance."
"And they're too scared to go near Harry and Cindy because they're afraid they'll be petrified next." Fred joked. I didn't find that very funny.
"That too." Wood agreed. With that, we walked out of the tent and entered the pitch. Professor Mcgonagall walked up to us.
"The match has been cancelled."
"You can't cancel quidditch." Wood said.
"Silence, Wood. You will return to your common room and stay there. Potter, Potter, and Weasley, come with me." Harry, Ron, and I gave each other the "what did we do now" look.
We followed Professor Mcgonagall up to the castle, and I had a bad feeling when I noticed we were approaching the hospital wing. Harry and I gave each other uneasy looks as we entered. There, laying on the bed, stone still, was Hermione.
"Hermione!" Ron yelled in horror.
"What happened, Professor?" Professor Mcgonagall looked at me.
"Miss Granger has been attacked. We found her in the corridors next to Miss Clearwater. Does this mean anything to either of you?" She handed us a mirror. "She was holding it." We shook our heads in dismay. "Well, I'll leave you three. Go straight to your common room after."
"Yes Professor." We chanted in unison. With that, Professor Mcgonagall turned and left the room. I turned back to Hermione. Ron still had the same horrified expression on his face. I gently touched her wrist.
"Hermione, we need you. Please be alright." I whispered. We stayed for a bit longer before leaving to go back to the common room.

The next days were relatively uneventful. Ginny was still very jumpy. When I went to ask her about the nightmares, she said she no longer had them. I assumed it was just the stress of the upcoming exams.
"Well, Miss Potter?" My head snapped up instantly.
"Yes Professor?" I replied instantly.
"I said, what are the new regulations that are being put in place for everyone's safety?"
"Oh, um, we are to have teachers lead us to our next classes and we must return to our common rooms right after dinner."
"Good. Please do pay attention though ."
"Sorry Professor." She nodded and walked back to the front of the classroom. The remainder of the lesson flew by and I tried my best to not zone out. Afterwards, Professor Mcgonagall led us to our next class, which was defence against the dark arts. She gave Lockhart a rather dirty look before leaving.
"Have no fear, the students will be safe in my care!" I rolled my eyes and plopped down in my chair, groaning. "What is the matter, my dear girl? Are you not happy to see your favourite Professor?"
I looked at him incredulously. "Maybe you're unaware, but there is a monster attacking students around here."
"Exactly! All the more important my classes are, so you can all learn to defend yourselves."
