Gardens! (dave x jade)

"Dave, where are we going?" Jade asked, stumbling forward, blindfold over her glasses.

"Shhh, you'll find out soon enough," Dave said, guiding her and smirking.

She giggled and continued forward, tripping over the occasional chair or table leg. "Are we there yet?" "Nope."

He smiled ahead, his eyes roaming proudly over the garden he'd worked so hard on. He stopped her.

"Okay, you can take the blindfold off now," he said, casually wrapping his arms around her waist. Jade blushed and raised her arms up, pulling the blindfold off of her face.

She gasped. "Dave! You didn't?!" She squealed happily and took off into the garden, leaving Dave standing there with his arms stretched out. He dropped them and followed her, smiling at her beaming face as she walked through the rows of plants.

"I can't believe you did this!" She reached the end of the garden and turned around, bounding towards him and hugging him tightly.

"Thank you, Dave! Not so bad for a cool kid," she squealed, giggling.

"I'm glad you think so," Dave said, wrapping his arms around her and sighing contently.

"Yeah, gardens are great! But I like you better," Jade murmured, pressing her face against his chest and smiling at the faint scent of apple that followed Dave everywhere.
