financial institution in the nation.

Mr. Mellon improved Pittsburgh by, improving the welfare of the community. Also, by technician schools that make up the present day Carnegie Mellon University. In all 50 states Carnegie Mellon University was ranked 25 as the best university. Mr. Mellon money came from banking he made about 300000. When Mellon was secretary of treasure 1921-1932 he cut income tax rates, and reduced government spending. Which helped people save money instead of wasting money. Many people believed that Mellon started the great depression and also may people don't think that. The Andrew Mellon foundation is a organization with over 4 billion dollars. It makes grants in the area of higher education and scholarships. Also for art, and the environment. Andrew Warren Mellon died August,26,1937 he was 82 when he died
