Chapter 1

Ikebukuro, a district of bright lights and busy streets. All types of people roam it's areas. On a normal day in the heart of the city one would see shoppers everywhere, teenagers gossiping and doing god knows what, people on dates or doing business things, color gang members, and me. It was my first time to Ikebukuro, and it was a permanent move. I had come all the way from the United States and it was a huge change, but a change I was well prepared for-- or so I thought.

It felt really normal, walking around the city. Except, the fact that gang members roamed scared the crap outta me. I gotta remember to avoid those guys.

The thing that WASN'T normal for me to see, yet everyone else acted casual about it, was the two guys that messed up my life. I just wanted a normal life and a new start that I needed, but no, their stupid fight changed EVERYTHING.

I was walking down the street, I had just stopped to drop my bags off in the condo I was going to move into. My landlord wasn't in, so I decided to walk around and pay him when he got back. I had enough money to get one close to the city. I really wanted to see the sites, so I ventured to the heart. After a good, oh I dunno, 3 hours walking around I became hungry. Where is there to eat around here? I sighed and walked around, so bored and hungry. I was about to go back home when I noticed a big black man handing out fliers. He had an interesting get up, he definitely was Japanese. I approached the man, and saw what building he was in front of. "Wait, does that say Russia Sushi? What the heck is that?" I asked myself. I shrugged it off and began to cross the the large street to try out the restaurant. I hadn't payed much attention to the crowd that had gathered until I had to start shoving my way through it, roughly. "Either they have AMAZING food, or this is the busy time in Ikebukuro," I grumpily said. I hadn't noticed the repetitive colors the people were wearing, and I hadn't noticed what they were all gawking at. I finally pushed my way to the front of the crowd with a smile. I set my eyes on the Sushi place and proceeded to walk to it. I heard a yell, turning my head I saw the big black man waving his hands at me, what was he saying? He pointed and I turned my body. Just like that I was sandwiched. A knife came flying at me and I turned to try and not get it in a vital spot. As I turned a large piece of machinery was flying midair at me. Before I could move I was struck by both things, and blacked out instantly.

Chapter 2

I finally woke up with a groan. "Ugh what happened?" I groaned. I rubbed my head and sat up slowly. I looked around at the unfamiliar area."Wait, Where am I?" I said again. I was scared, what had happened when I blacked out. I began to panic a little then I finally made myself calm down. Suddenly a blonde man came in to my room. He was handsome and had really nice blonde hair. He wore glasses and what looked like some sort of suit. He shut the door behind him and I pretended to be asleep, or unconscious or whatever. He sat down and put his elbows on his knees, holding his head in his hands. He was muttering something but I pretended not to notice. Quietly I turned my head, then my body. He mumbled louder, he was totally freaky. "I bet he's gonna kill me or something, and he brought me to his house so no one would see," I said to myself. As I quietly rolled over I noticed a lamp to my side. It was either, risk what could happen, or make a move now. Quickly I grab the lamp, he looks up at the sudden movement. As he reaches out I smash the lamp into the side of his head. His glasses fly off, cracking a bunch. He sits still, still breathing at least. Then some blood drips down his forehead. He turns his face toward me, hair covering his tilted head. "What the hell.." He grumbles quietly, still not moving.

"Look, let me go, I don't want trouble," I command as I begin to stand up on the couch I had been laying on.

"What the hell," he says louder.

"I'm.. Serious.." I keep saying

"What the hell!" He yells this time, loud and long.

Out of fear I scream "STOP" and smack him. As my hand hits his face he grabs my wrist. Terrified, tears grow in my eyes. He looks up, god he was handsome. Our eyes lock, and there is an odd connection. We sat there staring for a while. His stare turned into an expressionless glare. He let go pushing me off slightly.
