I walked down the hallway from my final class of the day, my dorm was the only thing in my mind. I don't have a roommate, I don't want one either. Anyone who had been walking behind or in front of me at any point was now squished as close to the lockers as possible. Some of them lined up and began throwing wads of paper and spitballs at me. Humiliating. One person walked up and knocked everything out of my hands and called me a prick. Everyone laughed as I scrambled to pick it up. I shouted at everyone and grabbed everything up as I walked again. When I finally reached the door to my dorm, I found Aaron Burr waiting for me. He took one look at my spitball self and sighed.
"If you'd just listen to me, they might no-" Aaron began.
"Spare me, Aaron. I know what you're gonna say, I know what you want me to do, and I'm still not gonna listen. Just you wait, I'll fix this myself." I moved Aaron to the side and unlocked the door.
"I'll see you tomorrow in class, Alexander," Aaron said, watching me open my door. I simply stared blankly forward, not daring to look at him.
"See you tomorrow, Aaron," I responded, closing the door behind me. I set my stuff down on an end table in front of my door as I threw my bag down. I searched through my piles of papers, quickly finding my computer and homework. I laid everything in front of me and began to work.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Time Skip to Six Hours Later
~~~~~~~~~~~~It only took me about thirty minutes to finish my homework, and it wasn't all that late yet (only about twelve) so, I figured... why not just start typing? I have a ton of unfinished stories, so I might as well.
Hamilton worked late into the night, not stopping until he inevitably passed out at his computer

Of when his mother and father were still with him
