Chapter 1 - Goodbye

Hi, my name is Ariana Grande I'm 16 years old and I live in LA (well not for long) Today I'm going to move to my new home In Australia.

Ariana's POV

I woke up one morning with the sun in my face blinding me to death and the cool breeze blowing through the window. I got up and walked to the living room where I found my Mum in front of the TV with Dark Grey bags around her eyes. "Mum did you even sleep last night" I mumbled. She didn't answer me I don't even think she heard me the lack of sleep from packing has stressed her out a lot. I walked to the cupboard to grab a bowl of fruit loops, my favourite. I put them in a bowl with a dash of milk and honey just how I like them. A few minutes later I saw mum asleep on the couch, I'm so glad she finally went to sleep. I decided to go for a walk to my friend's house and say goodbye to her before I go to Australia.

I arrived at my friend Mindy's house (we have been best friends since we were 2 years old). We have always had each other when ever we're in need. She's the best friend. I slowly walked up to her door and knocked three times. Mindy opened the door in surprise. "Hey Mindy" I Smiled.

"hey Ari" she replied.

"I was wondering if you would like to get some ice-cream before I go to Australia".

"ok, sounds good" Mindy answered.

We hopped in my black convertible and put Shawn Mendes on. We both sang the lyrics to "There's Nothing Holding Me Back".

"Baby there's nothing holding me back" I sang.

"There's nothing holding me back" Mindy sang.

We got out the car and walked on the dirty, old concrete. The concrete had gum stuck to it, it was pretty disgusting but the ice-cream shop looked pretty cute. It stood out next to all the other dark and smelly shops down the street. The shop was mostly pink, yellow and blue it had a giant ice-cream with a smiley face on it, which made Mindy and I laugh quite a bit. We opened the door and the scent of strawberry ice-cream filled our scents. We walked up to the counter and the workers wore pink and yellow aprons. I order a vanilla-choc ice-cream with caramel sauce, I love how the caramel sauce and ice-cream combine and make the cone soft and sweet. Mindy ordered a strawberry-vanilla ice-cream with pineapple syrup, she loves when the pineapple and strawberry combine. It makes our mouths salivate. We sit down on the stools; they are so super cute. "I'm going to miss you a lot" Mindy cried. "Me to" I said. Mindy gave me a locket, I opened it and it had a photo of both of us together. The front of the locket had so much detail. "thank you so much, I will treasure it forever" I cried. A few hours later I told Mindy I had to go home and finish packing for Australia because my flight leave in 6 hours at 12am. So we waved goodbye, Mindy caught the bus home and I drove home. When I got home I started to cry...
