It had been a week since Sora was brought here; he was alone, scarred, and isolated from people. He was kept away from everyone, as Ansem had told him the headmaster of the orphanage had specifically enforced the rule that Sora be confined for the time being. He wanted to play with the other kids; even his friends, who had visited for him were told to leave for a specified time.
How he hated this place.
Ansem had let Sora keep his things with him in the room, however. He would play with small toys, and play games on the small television in the center of the dark interior. But Sora had soon grown extremely bored of it all, he longed for association with the other children. He didn't know what to do honestly.
Until an idea formed in his head.
What if his favorite Disney characters had worked alongside Cloud Strife? Or Squall Leonhart? Even Auron or Tifa? He had played all the Final Fantasy games up to current date, so why not? He immediately jumped in bed. He wanted to dream it, rather than pretend he were each individual character. But what to call his idea... He would think of that later.
He tried as hard as he could to go to sleep, but had a hard time trying. He eventually calmed down from the excitement and passed out on the spot.
There he was, falling into the dark abyss. This boy looked older, and had spiky brown hair that flowed in the wind. He wore a red shirt, and a black over jacket with white sleeves that were short; he had on baggy red pants that flowed in the wind, and yellow tennis shoes. He opened his eyes, that were as blue as if they were beacons, piercing through the darkness that he was falling into. He looked down weakly as he flipped over and sailed downwards on his feet. He softly descended, his feet hitting the cold, hard ground. Where was he? How did he get here? What was this place? So many different questions were racing through his mind.
He took a step forward, the ground lighting up in a bright flash of light, where the light had almost faded, doves flew around him, the light on the ground spreading like a wildfire in a grass field. The doves flew all around him, he gasped as the doves flew off into the distance. But this didn't phase him the least, he turned around and looked down; it was a girl on the floor, well... stained glass he was standing on. The floor was a brilliant green, a princess depicted on the glass.
He walked forward, seeing several pedestals rise from the ground. Each having an item float above it. In front of him, a staff, to his left was a shield, and to his right was a sword. He walked up to each stand, reading the inscriptions on them.
The staff pedestal read: The power of the mystic. Unfathomable knowledge would be in his hands as he imagined.
The sword pedestal read: A sword of terrible destruction. One could bring destruction or a brand new creation as he took action.
The shield pedestal read: The power to protect what matters. He'd always protect his friends, they were what he had left, and what kept him strong.
He decided, he would take the shield, and defend his important things he still had. But now, what would he give up in return? He needed the power to fight later on, so he gave up the staff, the pedestals fading into darkness. What appeared in his hand was the shield, he could now defend himself and others if needed.
He saw a staircase made of colorful glass appear behind him, leading up to a higher platform.
When he ran up, -he made sure not to fall as there were no sidebars to stop him from falling- there was a different girl depicted on the glass floor. He walked forth, obeying something like a voice, commanding him to move forward. He suddenly felt a cold presence behind him. He turned around and saw them. Their golden eyes glared at him, piercing the darkness, and glowing bright.
