taehyung watched with malice as the waves crashed onto the shore, shivering from the personal attack on him by the ocean. he was enjoying a peaceful swim when a huge wave decided to ruin his day, nearly drowning him and putting the everlasting taste of salt water in his mouth.
ok, so taehyung is a bit dramatic.
his eyes scan the shore, looking for anything interesting. people hit volleyballs at each other, children screamed when water came near their ever so precious sandcastles, and girls tanned their skin under the rays. taehyung almost vomited when he saw, not a girl, but an extremely unhealthy man, in a speedo, drenched in suntan oil, basking in the rays of the sun.
taehyung doesn't like the beach very much.
he almost gives up on finding something pleasing to the eyes until his gaze falls on a tanned man, curly black hair and muscular  stature, waxing a surfboard. taehyung, shivering under his towel, perks up.
he stares at the man for a bit, squinting his eyes and making sure he's real.
when taehyung concludes that yes, hot dude at 9 o'clock is indeed real, he smiles. he springs off of the chair he was sitting on and drops his towel. his body is suddenly warmer, and he's less sad about being at the beach.
he jogs over to the surfer, slowing down once he reaches close proximity. he stands for a bit, watching the muscular arm go back and forth, dragging wax on the board.
eventually, taehyung gets bored. he doesn't want to watch the boy rub wax onto his surfboard, he wants to flirt.
taehyung coughs quietly and finally gathers up the confidence. "what's crackin', surfer boy?"
he immediately regrets his word choice. the boy next to him jumps slightly at the voice, but instantly starts to laugh at the words spoken to him. he stops waxing his board, standing up from his crouching position to look at the boy who talked to him.
he holds the stick of wax in his hand and the other holds up his board. his body is ethereal, and taehyung is suddenly conscious that he doesn't have rock hard abs and regrets the donut he had this morning. his skin is golden, just like taehyung's. it easy to figure out it's constantly in the sun, but it's well protected. the boy's hair is curly, messy, it's the epitome of salt water curls. he wears a shark tooth necklace, snug to his skin.
the boy's face, oh sweet jesus. his lips are the exact opposite, the top one being thin while the bottom one was plump and looked soft. his nose is cute, wide and almost too big for his face, but not. his eyes are thin, with dark irises and a sparkle in them, like sunlight glinting off of water.
taehyung is taken aback.
he stares at the boy and said boy smiles, waving his hand in front of taehyung's face while asking, "hello? beach babe?"
god, even his voice is perfect.
taehyung blushes and stares at his feet, "o-oh, um, i w-was wondering if y-you could, uh..." his voice trailed off and he felt like he was choking.
"if i could?" the boy repeated taehyung, smiling sweetly. his hair shifted in the wind, a slight blush settling on his face from the sun.
taehyung shook his head quickly, trying to get his thoughts straight.
"uh, if you could," taehyung glanced at the board in jungkook's hands and smiled. "teach me how to surf!"
taehyung feels triumphant, he has a reason to talk to the cute boy.
"of course!" the boy smiles wide and holds his surfboard tightly. "i'm jungkook."
