We order our drinks and food, waiting a while for it to come. Finally, our food comes, so we start eating. Nathan pays and then stands up, but he gets onto one knee. What is he doing? Is he going to propose? What do I say? What am I supposed to say when he asks me?

"Lucy, will you marry me?" I look down at him, smiling big with tears streaming down my cheeks. I nod and say, "Yes. Of course, I will." He smiles as he slips the ring on my finger. He stands up and hugs me tight as the rest of the restaurant cheers for us on our engagement."You've made me so happy. I love you so much, Nath." I whisper in his ear.

We pay, walk out of the restaurant, and eventually drive back to his house. We tell everyone the news, and they hug us and congratulate us. Honestly, I couldn't be any happier than right now with him. I'm marrying my best friend in a few months.

What's happened is in the past. We forgive, but neither one of us will ever forget about it. We're moving on into the future now. We're going to be a lot happier than we ever have been.

I hope we can have a baby of our own soon. I missed being pregnant. I missed seeing the smile on Nathan's face when we were at the ultrasound appointment.

About four months later, we finished moving into our place. We've got all of our furniture and have all the rooms painted.

Nathan's gotten a lot better lately; he hasn't been abusive. We've been planning the wedding going to be next year. He's asking why I want it so late. He's about to find out. I have some news for everyone, but I want to tell Nathan first. He'll be excited once I tell him I'm pregnant.

"Nath, can I talk to you?"

"Of course, sweetheart. What is it?" He sits on the couch, so I do the same and rest my feet on his lap.

"Well, I have some excellent news..." I try hiding my smile from him.

"Come on. Tell me already. What is it?" He holds my hands and looks over at me, waiting for me to answer him. "Don't make me wait so long."

"Okay, okay," I sit up, lifting my shirt, revealing a baby bump, "I'm pregnant," I look up at his facial expression, which is the happiest look I've seen on his face in a long time. "I'm eleven weeks along."

"You're pregnant? You're pregnant!" He repeats it and hugs me tight, kissing me.

"Yes." I giggle a little bit. "And you're the first person I've told. I wanted to tell you first so we could tell everyone else together."

"When should we tell everyone then?"

"Whenever you want to," I lean over, kiss his cheek as I stand up and stretch, "Wait, wait, wait." He grabs my hand and pulls me back down to him. "I'm really in the mood now..." He kisses me passionately and starts to pull up my shirt.

"N-Nath, no. Not now. I'm not in the mood," I pull away from him and stand up again. I walk back upstairs and lock the door behind me. I can't believe him. Why would he be in the mood now? He never was when I was. He's so selfish and inconsiderate of my feelings. I'm emotional right now.
