Chapter 5

Jasmine POV

It's around nine and I'm still in bed, I don't even know if I should get up. It's not like I have shit to do and don't have anything planned also what makes it worse is that it's Mother Day and my mother is nowhere to be found.

I tried calling her phone but got no answer so I shot her a text.

Highly doubt she's going to answer that either.

Some mother I got right?

"What is the meaning of a mother anyway" I mumble to myself while sitting up on my bed.

Like I said, I don't really have anything planned for today so I texted Jay to see if she wanted to hang out, she replied within five minutes and said sure.

So with that, I decided to get and hop in the shower.

An hour later and jay finally arrived. We were now in my living room on the couch playing Black ops, then I realized how hungry I was.

"Yo, are u hungry, or is it just me," I said while looking over at jay.

"Uh- yeah kinda, Watcha tryin to do," she said before stopping the game.

"I was thinking about going and getting somethin," I said standing up and stretching.

"Ight bet, but what u had in mind" she said following me to the front door. "Man ion know, we'll figure it out" I said grabbing my keys of the hook on the wall. We walked out and got into my car.

Ariana POV

"Please don't do this," I said barging into my room trying to get away from him, oh God please help me.

I tried to close my door before he could get in but I wasn't fast enough, he kicked opened the door and I fell backward.

"You think you can run from me huh?" He said grabbing me by my hair.

"No p-please I'm s-sorry" I said while beginning to cry, he was holding it so tight. "p-please don't do this, I promise I will listen next t-time" I said begging him not to do what I know he was going too.

"Your just like your mother, nothing but a stupid worthless piece of shit" he yelled while throwing me on the bed and then started to undo his pants.

"Please don't," I said while squeezing my eyes shut and curling into a little ball.

"Don't worry it won't hurt that bad" He laughed deeply before grabbed me by my arms and pinning them down to the bed and getting on top of me.

He took one of his arms to pull down my pants and underwear and did the same to his. He opened my legs and positioned himself, I feel him push himself into me.

"NO WAIT DONT-"

I yelled jumping straight out of my sleep. I looked around my room frantically and Sighed deeply realizing it was just a bad bream.

I fell back onto the bed relieved.

"Just when I start to think they were really gone, they just keep coming right back" I mumble to myself.

I looked over to my left to see the spot I had put gabby empty.

My grandmother must of took her while I was sleep. I turned over and picked up my phone off my nightstand and checked it.

I seen a text from Monetè.

BESTFRIEND 👸🏾❤: get your ass up because me and faith are taking u out for a Mother's Day lunch, so get ready.

I totally forgot today was Mothers Day. I didn't even get my grandma anything, awe man I feel bad. But I'll make it up to her somehow.

I decided to get up and take a 30 minute shower. I took my time because Faith and Monete wouldn't be here until around eleven. I went downstairs and walked into the kitchen to see my grandma making breakfast.

"Good Morning grandma, Happy Mothers Day," I said going over to her and giving her a kiss on the cheek and then over to gabby who was in her high chair.

"Good Morning sweetheart and the same to you," she said while mixing the pancake batter.

"Good Morning my Lil bundle of joy," I said kissing every inch of her face, she giggles and puts her arms out for me to pick her up, I did just that.

"Grandma I'm going to take gabby with me today, we will be back later on," I said grabbing a plate for me and gabby.

"No problem sweetheart, me and Asia have plans for today with your Godmother anyway," she said taking my plate from me and started preparing my plate.

"Oh really, what y'all had plan" she handed the plate back, and sat it down in front of me and gabby. "We were going to go out have a little brunch maybe a little shopping nothing to much," she said taking her seat.

"Oh ok, I hope y'all have fun," I said with a face full of food.

"What have I told u about talking with your mouth full," she said watching me.

"Sorry" I said before swallowing I give her a quick smile before going back to my food, she just sat there and laughed at me.

"Your a hot mess child," she said hitting me with a dishtowel.

"Aren't I always" I chuckled while feeding gabby some food.

"Oh yeah, Faith and Monete are coming over to pick me up" I said getting up to put my plat in the sink. After we ate I asked grandma to watch gabby, while I got myself ready.

She took gabby out my hand and I headed upstairs.

"What the hell am I going to wear" I said looking through my closet full of clothes. After about twenty minutes I finally found something decent.

I got dressed, did my hair and makeup, I went over to my full body mirror to see how I looked.

"Oh goddamn if somebody won't put a ring on it, I just might," I said twirling around a few times in the mirror.

"Ariana Faith and Monetè are here" I heard my grandmother yell from downstairs.

"Ok I'm coming" I made sure I had everything. I grabbed my bag, keys and my phone. While walking out my room I bumped into Asia. She looked at me turned and just kept walking.

"Well hello to you too," I said with a hint of attitude.

I walked down to see Faith with gabby on her lap and Monetè talking on her phone, she looked like she was arguing with someone.

"It's about damn time you got done here" faith complained and got up.

"Can you stop, complaining, and let's go?" I said taking gabby from her and walking to the door.

"Bye grandma love you" said walking out the door. "Bye baby have fun" we walked to the car I put gabby in her car seat and we headed to the mall.

I checked my phone to see if I got a message from Suriya. I frowned seeing not one, not even a Good morning text.

Some girlfriend I got right?
