Sleepless

*Eren's POV*

I lay in my bed wide awake. As I looked through the window in my room, still in the basement of the headquarter, I could see that the sky was dark as black and the full moon was shining bright, giving just enough light to see your surroundings without a problem. I knew that it had to be already in the middle of the night.
This situation wasn't something new. I always had problems with sleeping since the Titans first broke through wall Maria. I would just toss and turn around in my bed until I would fall asleep late in the night just to get up in the morning with a too less amount of sleep, dark circles under my eyes and not a quite nice mood. And if I would succeed to sleep I would mostly have some bad dreams that would wake me up and keep me up the rest of the night.
I don't know why but I would always sleep better if someone was with me, like Mikasa or Armin. They were always there for me so I felt save around them.
I tried it but I just couldn't fall asleep so I got up and decided to walk around for a bit.
I sneaked through the floors of the building, seeing that nobody else was awake. After a few minutes I stopped in front of a big wooden door that would lead me right into a big room full of books and stuff. Maybe reading would help me sleep, I thought to myself. So I slowly opened the door a bit to slip inside the room and closed it again quitely just to turn around and see that there were candles burning on the little table in the middle of the room. My eyes trailed to the side to see a figure sitting on the couch right beside the table, a book covering the face of the omnious person. Just from the sitting position I could recognize who it was.. - Captain Levi.
He looked up from his book and right at me. "Shouldn't you be sleeping by this time, brat?" he asked, raising one of his eyebrows. "Uh... Yeah.. I just- ehm.. Well... I just couldn's sleep so... I thought reading something would calm me down and maybe help me to get some sleep.." I stuttered out. We just stared at another for a couple of seconds, feeling myself starting to blush slightly as he looked at me. He then got back to reading his book, saying "Whatever". I started to walk to one of the big shelves with an impressive amount of books in it, scanning it for an interesting looking one. In the end I just grabbed a random book and started heading for the door. As I reached it I could hear the Corporal, asking me where I was about to go. " I'm going back to my room. Sorry for interrupting you, sir. I'll leave you alone then." I answered. "No it's fine. You can stay here if you want. A little bit company doesn't hurt." As he said this I was kind of happy, not having to be alone. Also I really liked the Coporal. And with really, I mean really...
I smiled, saying "Yeah that would be nice" and walked back, aiming for the other couch as the Corporal patted on the place on his left side, gesturing me to sit down next to him. I blushed again as I sat down and leaned back against the couch. I opened the book and started reading but I couldn't really focus. I always catched myself glancing next to me, where Captain Levi was reading his book. The longer I looked, the more beautiful he would become. His raven black hair, cutted into an undercut. His steel-grey eyes that were shining slightly in the light of the candles. His pale skin that looked so smooth, my urge growing to touch him. His small yet muscular building and his small, thin lips I wanted to kiss so badly. And his intimidating character. Even if he wasn't perfect, I loved everything about him.
"Is your book that boring? " the Captain suddenly asked. "Eh?What? N-no!.." Please don't let him notice. Please don't let him notice. "Hm.. Then do I have something on my face?" shit.... "No sir you don't..." I could feel my face starting to heat up. That was embarassing...
He closed his book and turned around to look at me. His eyes met mine and I blushed a darker shade of red. "Then tell me, Eren. Why are you staring at me?" he asked. I obviously couldn't tell him "I think you are beautifull and I like you" so I just began to stutter something. "Speak clearly. I can't understand you." he said in a commanding tone that send shivers down my spine. " I don't know... I.. Just.. Uh.. I-I just think that you a-are... Really good l-looking.." oh no I said it.. "Oh? Really?" he said with a slight smirk on his face. "What else do you think about me, Eren?" - "What? Eh... Uhm... You are really strong, both physically and mental. Even if bad things happen, you keep yourself up and even if it annoys you, you really help people with this attitude..." I couldn't think of something better, but it's not a lie. I couldn's say that his body is the hottest I've ever seen or that he has to be really good in bed...What the hell was I even thinking?!
"That's all? Mhh..kinda boring. " he answered, sounding a bit dissapointed. "Huh? What do you mean?" I asked. He leant foreward, his face only a few inches away from mine and said "I don't know. Maybe something more...interesting?" I stared into his eyes, not able to move away and my eyes automaticaly trailed down to his lips and I could feel my face burn. I had to look like a hot chili pepper. Captain noticed this and his smirk got bigger. "I think there is still something to say. Would you like to tell me?". He got another bit closer. "Captain I don't thin-" - "Eren, call me Levi. This whole Captain thing is annoying. Even though I like it when you call me Sir" At the last part I had to gulp real hard. What was going on? I couldn't understand anything. "Now go on" - "Alright.. Levi.." He hummed in satisfaction, giving me the sign to move on. Ok I'm going to tell him. Come on Jäger don't shit yourself. You can do this! I opened my mouth to say something but stopped. Nope definately can't do it.
"Eren, whats wrong? " - "Nothing"
"Then why are you always so nervous around me? " His smirk creeping back onto his face. I said nothing. " Come on. Tell me. I'm interrested" - "I.. It.. Uhm.." Come on! Say it! Just do it! I exhaled deeply. "You know...I really like you Levi" I suddenly blurted out and kept my eyes shut. I was afraid that he would hate me, abandon me or punch me but the only thing that was, was silence. I felt like crying untill a warm and soft hand cupped my cheek. I opened my eyes and widened them as I saw Levi in front of me, cupping my cheek and smiling slightly. "Good boy" he said, leaning closer to me and shutting his eyes and then his lips laid softly against mine. I had never ever expected that this day would come but I was so happy in this moment. I closed my own eyes slowly kissing back, feeling my heart beating faster. We moved our lips in a slow rhythm against each other. It was beautiful and I didn't wanted this moment to end.
He then suddenly licked my bottom lip but I didn't know what to do. He nipped lightly at it and I opened my mouth a bit, feeling how his tongue slid into my mouth and explored every inch of it. He was so good at this and I could feel myself melt into that kiss but sadly he had to break the kiss to get some air. He was panting a bit and he had a light blush on his cheeks. Urgh why did he had to look so hot.
"Eren... believe it or not but I like you very much as well" At this scentence I started crying but was still smiling. "Whats wrong? Did I do something bad?" Levi asked, looking a bit shocked. "No I'm just incredibly happy. I love you, Levi. " I said and wiped my tears away. "You're really a brat you know that?" - "I'm sorry.." - "But you are mine. Don't forget that" he smirked at me again as I blushed a deep red. "Yes".
" You should probably go to sleep now, it's pretty late. " Levi said to me and getting up. " Yeah I know. I just can't sleep very well whem I'm alone, so that's nothing new." - " I never said that you would sleep alone tonight, Eren" he answered, blowing out the candles and then heading to the door. "You're coming with me". He then grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers. I smiled down at him as we made our way to his room.
We made ourselves comfortable in his huge bed, me laying in his arms and he hugging me tightly. He kissed my forehead as he said "Good night Bright Eyes. I love you" - "Night my Captain. I love you too"
And I have to say that this night I could sleep peacefully without any problems.
