To Love Someone (Hayes Grier)

Hey, I'm Lacy. I live in Florida right next to the beach. I am also neighbors to Grier family. Yes THE Grier family. Nash, Hayes, Skylnn, and Will Grier. We are all pretty close. Our parents are good friends, Nash and my sister Annie are dating, and Hayes and I are super close. Almost like best friend. See, our family have known each other since PK. So we have some family history together.

"Lacey I'm going over the Nash's house, wanna come?!" Annie yelled

"Uhhh sure!" I yelled back

As we made our way to their front door, my sister told me all the rules, not like I haven't heard them a billion times.

"Ok not coming in Nash's room, don't talk to Nash, don't even look at Nash."
She told me

"Yeah yeah I know. Would you shut up and knock already?" I responded

"Uhhgg whatever. But if I catch you breaking my rules...!"

"I know you will tell everyone how much I love Jake. We've been over this many times." Jake is a guy at my school who I have had the biggest crush on since 2nd grade. He is pretty dreamy if you ask me.

"Hey bebe how are you," Nash said as referring to Annie

"Good. Id be better if you would kiss me already !" She replied

"Oh don't worry, we have plenty if time for that. My parents are gone for a couple of hours." He told her

"Perfect!"

"Ewww y'all are disgusting." I said as I tried to get past them. Obviously they didn't hear me because they were too busy making out. Whatever I will just go see what Hayes is up to

"Hey Hayes!" I said as I entered his room.

"Hey Lacey!"

"What are you working on?" I asked him

"Nothing just some homework for school."

"Well speaking of school, how is Katie?" Katie is a girl who Hayes has a crush on

" good! I am planning on asking her out tomorrow at school!"

"Ohh cool!" I said. I don't know why, but I felt a little jealous. It was probably nothing, I mean there is no way that I could like my best friend, right?

"But there is one problem." Hayes said

"What is it?"

"I like someone else to."

"Who do you like?" I asked him

"I can't say." I was a little surprised because Hayes usually tells me everything. He continued, "But I'm not sure if I really like this girl as a friend or as something more serious."

"Well, tell me about her." I said

"She is so beautiful, has a great personality, and can make me smile any day." he said with a smile

"Sounds like you are in a love crisis."

"Seriously" he said. "Well, I guess I will just have to decide soon. How is Jake?"

"Well I obviously still in love with him!" I swear I saw Hayes jerk a little when I told him that. I continued, " but there is no chance of me and him getting together. He is just so popular, and I am just a geek with no friends."

"Looks like we both have problems.." Hayes said

"Yeah I know."

"LACEY COME ON WE ARE LEAVING!" I heard Annie yell from down stairs

"Well, by Hayes. Tell me what you decide on tomorrow!" I said

"Ok bye!" he said as I shut the door to his room

I went down stairs and saw Annie had tears in her eyes. I wonder why?

"Hey what's wrong?" I asked her

"Nothing lets just go alright!" she said

We left their house with me having no idea what was going to happen with the Grier family in the next couple I weeks.
