~Dan's POV~

After Ellie hung up, I just sat there, lost in thought. Something more was wrong than she was letting on. And never-mind that, I can't stand to see my sister upset. It was cheesy, I know, but I had to help her.

I sigh solemnly. I'll be able to see my elusive sister again, though.

I call Phil into the living room.

"Phil, I just got off the phone with my sister, Elizabeth."

He nods his head, I've told him about her a few times.

"She's- well, she's having a rough time, since she's living in a place filled with bittersweet memory, near my our parents actual house to make it worse. She.. Umm.. She asked if she could stay here for some time," I say nervously

His eyes go through a range of emotion, from sympathy to confusion to a little anxiousness.

"So, since she's my little sister and I love her so much and NEED her to be happy, I agreed. She'll be here tomorrow, we're going to pick her up at the airport, and please be nice."

Through all the feeling, he manages to tweak his eyebrow a tiny bit, an innocent gesture stating he couldn't do harm. To anything.

"She really struggled after our parents death and I just want you to be gentle and please be a bit reserved."
I give reserved a few types of meanings.

"Yeah, Dan, it's totally fine. I get it. She's your sister and though I've never meant her, I'll treat her like true family. I understand why you did it and everything. I can't wait to meet her!" Phil says with a hint of excitement creeping up in his voice.

I nod my head.

"I'm going to go to the store and pick up some things for her, to be at home and comfortable. I know I basically just poured all of this stuff onto you at once, but while I'm gone, would you please tidy up the house?"

"Sure, Dan. Will you get me some sweets, please?" Phil says.

I smirk and head out the door.
