~Phil's POV~
I didn't really mean to, but I noticed Elizabeth was really cute.
Okay, not cute. She was absolutely gorgeous. She had auburn-ish curly locks and big golden eyes. She was tall and filled out, but she seemed a little shy.
Snap out of it, I told myself.
She's Dan's sister and she's staying at our apartment. I was only noticing it, and no further.
"Wait, is that a cat?" I say, noticing the pet-carriage she set down as she pulled over my jacket (it was big on her and aww).
"Oh yea, that's my cat," she says in a friendly tone. I really hope she is warming up to me.
She picks up the cage and gives a look questioning the location of the car and Dan starts walking.
"What's his name?"
She appears slightly embarrassed and mumbles, "Lion."
I laugh gently and let out a little sound of excitement.
~Elizabeth's POV~
I can feel myself blushing. Ugh, I absolutely hate embarrassment.
"I named him when I was, like, seven!" I says defensively.
Please make it stop.
I can even see Dan smiling and shaking his head, like they have some sort of inside joke or something.
"No, I love the name! Lions are my favourite animal! I love them, you have great taste. Or, your seven-year-old self at least," Phil says comfortingly, a grin spread on his face.
I let a small smile grow on my face as I breath a sigh of relief. "Oh" is all I can say. It's really cute how he professed his love of lions, he seems like he'll be a laugh.
We arrive at Dan's car. I prepare to get in the back, but Phil gets in before me, leaving the front passenger side for me.
~Phil's POV~
"El, I know this sounds stupid, but I don't know much about you, so maybe you could tell me a bit about yourself?" I say, trying my best to kindle a flame of conversation. I don't want to be rude, though.
"Oh, yea, sure," she says, a pinch of uneasiness still hanging in her voice.
"Hmm.. Well, I'm 19, nearly 20, and I'm a girl," she begins. I struggle the urge to giggle as she "face-palms" after saying that. That was cute.
"I like to read and write. I like dystopian novels, but I'll read anything except for boring non-fiction.Oh, and music! I play guitar, drums, and a bit of piano(not as well as Dan can, though.) I guess that's it, though. I'm not that interesting." She meanders off.
"Sure you are! Do you think you could play something for us sometime? That might be cool," I say.
She smiles a bit, but then shakes her head. She looks very nice when she smiles. A song starts playing in my head.
I could have said much more than "sure you are." She seemed so talented and perfect. I can tell she wouldn't believe me if I said anything, though, anyway.
