A Thornless Rose

Welcome to Harper High School!

I wake up on a Monday well today is going to be FUN! My alarm starting off the GREAT day then my mom walks in trying to wake me up. I groan telling her that my back hurts and my feet hurt just to get her to make me not to go to school.

"Yeah, that so works on me! Your going to school if you like it or not!" and starts walking down the stairs. 

I jump out of bed and go to my closet looking for something to wear that will make a good first impression on the first day of school. I end up picking a black crop top and a pair of ripped jeans and white converse. I hop into my clothes and sit down at the table for breakfast.

"That's a nice outfit, just don't get in trouble today!" said my mom. I swear she is always telling me what to do I hate it!

When I get to school I see a bunch of kids walking around like they own the place. Especially Rebecca Lance I HATE HER!!! 

"Ms. Wright please come down to the office"

When I get to the office they look at me up and down and then they ask...

"Do you know why you are here?"

"No sir" I say hoping that this is not about what I did in first period. I got in a verbal fight with this one girl Rebecca Lance over a freaking text book I mean come on is that something really to start a fight over? Okay now back to the story.

"You have an ISS report."

 "Go to the counselors office!" He says "And go see what he has to say to you!"

I walk into the counselors office and see a boy sitting in the chair in his office crying. I ask him what is wrong and all he says is "Rebecca Lance"  I grab his hand and say to him "I know a place that will cheer you up!" And we walk out of the counselors office and I hop into my car and he opens the passenger side door and looks inside I ask him "Do you need help getting in I know I have really big tires Its hard for a lot of people to get in without needing help." He hops right in like it's nothing. "What's your name?" I ask trying not to be mean, but I have a dude in my car and I don't even know his name

"Its Brent Lochner." he said "I am known for being smart but no one really knows who I really am."

"Well I can change that" I said looking at him with a smile. Soon we arrive at the beach I did not bring my bathing suit so I go into the nearest store that sold them. Brent had the same idea. I walked in and saw the cutest black and white bathing suit ever and put it inside the shopping basket. Brent chose a solid black pair of swimming trunks and ice cream. I grabbed some ice cream as well and a nice summer hat, some sunscreen, and some EXTRA gum. We put all our stuff on the counter and the lady says...

"That will be $102.30" 

I start picking up things about to put them back because I don't have that much money and Brent pulls out a debit card and pays for the whole thing. "Very rich are we" I ask him. He just smiles and nods his head.

We start heading to the changing rooms and putting on our bathing suits and we head back to the ocean. I look at the sea and say things under my breath. Brent just so happened to hear me.

"What was that?" He asked he sounded like he really wanted to know.

"My father died in this ocean....." I said looking off into the distance.

"Well that will not happen to you I promise!"

I turn around to see Brent in his swim suit staring at me will a smile upon his face. I turn back around and look at the ocean.

"Come on lets go!"
