I guess somewhere along the movie I fell alseep. I woke laying against Chase's chest. He looked kinda cute sleeping. What wait? Why the hell was I thinking about that? I quickly erased that thought from my head and checked my phone. It was already 3:30. Cassie and them would be home soon. I barely touched his chest when he suddenly grabbed my wrist and stopped me from doing anything else.

"Never touch a sleepin man Reece," he grumbled, keeping his eyes closed.

"I'd hardly consider you a man," I replied, a smile growing wildly across my face. I cheeks started to immediately heat up when I noticed he still had ahold of my wrist.

"Uh Chase?" I Said, looking down at him.

"Yeah?" He asked groggily. He still hasn't dared to open his eyes.

"Could you a... let go of my hand?" He looked down and realized he still had a hold of it. He let go, but kept his hand close to mine.

"I suggest you get up and leave before my brothers get home. They won't take too kindly of me havin boys here alone even if it's just you," I said to him, standing up. I was really just teasing. Cole and Clay wouldn't care.

"Like I'm scared of those two," he said, stretching his arms. He was right. The boys could definitely beat someone, but they wouldn't dare touch Chase. He's practically family. Suddenly and idea struck me.

"Since you don't wanna leave, do you wanna go ridin down by the creek bed?" I asked, a sly smile spreading across my face. He got up at the mention of that.

"Hell yeah Reece. Race ya to the barns!" He said as he pushed me on the couch and ran out of the front door. I caught up to quickly, even though he's pretty fast.

I beat him to the stalls. I startled Dawn and Daxum, the other 2 horses I owned. Chase came up behind me not 20 seconds after getting to the barn.

"How the hell are you faster than me?" He asked, seeming slightly confused.

"I've been chasin horses since before I could talk Chase. Since you're a wrangler, I expected you to beat to me actually. Hell, you train horses and chase em for a livin. I guess that's why aunt Mary named you that."

No, his mom is not really my aunt. His parents have been close friends with mine since we were little. So I just call them my aunt and uncle.

"Ah shut up Reesey," he said, rolling his eyes.

"No I will not. We hafta ride Daxum by the way," I said. Dawn was pregnant, and it wasn't good to ride a horse if they were.

"Nah dip moron," Chase replied as he went into the tack room to grab the saddle. Once he got Daxum all ready, he helped me up then pulled himself in front of me. I wrapped my arms around his waist as he took off.

I absolutely had loved my land. Or should I say my parents land. It was at least 10 acres of gorgeous, rolling hills of green. It was just breathtakingly beautiful. When we got down to the creek bed, Chase jumped off Daxum and stuck his feet in the knee high deep water. I got off and hooked Daxum to a tree so he wouldn't decide to run off.

"So," Chase spoke up, his eyes never leaving the water. "You wanna tell me why I had to pick you up on the side of the road today?" He asked. I honestly didn't want to talk about it.

"No." I simply replied. I went over and sat beside him, rolling up my jeans and sticking my feet in the water.

"Spill it Reece," he said, finally looking at me. Those green eyes bore into my blue ones. I couldn't keep anything from him. He saw right through me.

"I was pissed at you for lettin Stacy talk to me like that and when we left he asked what was wrong and I said nothing then he told me he cheated on me with someone else when he was drunk a couple nights ago," I said quietly. He looked at me sympathetically.

"He cheated on you?" I nodded in response. I felt tears fill my eyes but I quickly blinked them away.

"I'll kill him," he said. His green eyes turning a darker shade. "Please don't Chase. It will only make it harder," I begged him. "Ok," he grumbled. I knew he'd sasy something to Jason. It was just who he was. He'd take up for me all the time. "Please don't tell Cassie or the boys. I don't want them knowing just yet," I added quickly.

"Reese, I'd never tell them without your permission," he replied, wrapping and arm around my shoulders. I loved it when we'd just have an actual conversation and not annoy each other. I leaned into him, and closed my eyes.

"Reece it's not your fault OK? You're perfect. It's his stupid fault he can't see he let an amazing girl slip away. You'll find your someone. Just takes time," he said. "OK. And since we're on the topic of relationships, you and Stacy? I'm not gonna lie, I'm happy you're away from that smothering bitch, but what happened?" I asked. He sighed and looked down at me. "I never really liked the way she treated you. You're my best friend and you shouldn't hafta be talked to like that. And she was always really controllin over me. I just got sick of it, so after you left  I broke up with her," he said.

"Ya didn't hafta break up with her for me," I mumbled, looking down. "I didn't just do it for you," he quickly replied. "I did it for me too. I couldn't lead her on knowing I like someone else." He finished. Wait what? he likes someone else?

I slapped his chest. Hard. "Ow! Now what was that for!" He said while rubbing his chest. "Chase Ethan Nelson! You like someone else?" I practically screamed.

"Yeah I do," he simply replied. "Well do I know this girl?" I asked. For some reason, I was feeling a bit jealous.

"Maybe," he said, a smile growing across that face. Ughh. Sometimes I really didn't like him. "Whatever Chase. Just whatever." Just then, my phone vibrated. I had forgotten I'd even had it. It was Cass texting me.

Cassie: Where the hell are you?

Me: Cassie chill. I'm down by the creek bed with Chase. How did you miss his truck.

Cassie: I did. That's the point.

Me: Huh? You know what nevermind. I'll be up soon.

"Cassie's wantin me home. Probably to yell at me for skipping. Plus Cole and Clay are gonna have somethin to say too. Yay!" I said sarcastically. Standing up and walking over to Daxum. Chase quickly caught up. "After you Reesey," he said with a smug smile. I rolled my eyes and jumped onto Daxum.

A/N: Boring chapter I know, but I really tried. Kind of got writers block. Anywho, what do you think will happen between Chase and Kennedy? Comment and let me know! Chapters will hopefully start to get better. Just stick around and find out. Bye for know!
