A shrill cry echoed in the mist; however, it was a daily routine around this area, for somewhere, someone had carried on to the afterlife. We all knew what that sound meant, someone was gone. However, it wasn't the death that made us miserable. No, it was the cry of the one who predicted it. Provided that, what could this being that sung the song of death? My brother, has come up with a few ideas: could it be an omen, a blessing to show when to spend time with your loved one, or could it be a curse.
There was word spreading faster than flames, that the strange family up on the hill could be the cause of this distress. It was true that there was an illness going round, but only did the cries start when the family came. There was 2 girls, a boy, a mother and father, and there aunt that was visiting. The youngest girl was my age, or so I assumed. The next being around a year younger that my youngest elder brother. There brother, was a grown man, of age to be married.
Henceforth, I thought I may have had a chance to become friends with the younger sister, Kate, for in this small death of a town called Hydesville, if you could even call that, doesn't have its own school, making it hard to make friends. I have seen them in church, but only small talk is made
I ern to make friends with her, but some of the terrors I have heard that come out of that house, immediately make me regret any signs of friendliness. Sure they were nice people, but in my opinion, they hear the words of the devil.
It was the middle of the night, when I heard yells and could feel the flames of torches even in my home. I gathered up my night skirts and ran outside. Of course. Once again the town was rushing to get the Fox's Farm. "Stay inside." my mother told me. "What shall this one be? God coming down himself?' My sister exclaimed. "Mary!" My mother practically screeched at her, but I was too far out of the house to hear her answer. 'Kathryn! Get back inside this house Right Now!" I pretended not to hear her as I ran.
The Girls were at it again, or So I thought. Their Elder brother David, was yelling "I HAVE FOUND IT! I HAVE FOUND IT!" The Girls claimed there was a spirit of a murdered Man. Such foolishness! I thought to myself. It was sad to See How run-down their family had become. I continued on my Way towards the house And sure enough, there was David prying open a box. As the box opened up, out fell scraps of bones, human bones. This may be Short, Buț I promise more is to come!!!!!
