"This is going to be so fun!" Patten exclaimed, bouncing with excitement.
"Sure." Logan was smirking. He smothered his skin with sun screen. He wasn't taking any chances "Patten, put on some sunscreen."
"Nah. Let's go!" Patten shrugged and then tugged Logan outside.
"Patten! You should be wearing sunscreen." Logan rolled his eyes at Patten. If he was the choice between right and wrong, he must not be thinking today.
Patten skipped down to the beach. Logan followed behind. They got down to beach and Patten threw some sand at Logan. Logan retaliated by throwing pebbles at Patten. After a bit of games, they looked out towards the sea. Was it ever pretty. Patten looked at Logan. "We came here to swim. Come on." Patten took off his shirt so he was only in his swimming trunks. He jumped into the water. It was a bit cold, but Patten didn't mind. He splashed around. He looked back at Logan, still sitting. "COME ON"
Logan felt a bit self-conscious.
"Logan. We have the same chest."
"Fiiiine."
Logan took off his shirt and joined Patten. He shivered from the cold, but soon got used to it. He splashed Patten and then went under the water to swim away from Patten. Patten swam with Logan. When they both stood up for a bit, they looked into each other's eyes. They got closer. Patten took a step closer. Logan took a step closer.
Patten splashed all the water at Logan and then ran away as fast as his legs could carry him.
"PATTEN"
Logan was laughing even though he was mad. He was going to get Patten. He jumped onto Patten from behind and they both went underneath. They got up and both started laughing. Suddenly Patten touched Logan's back and Logan flinched.
"You okay?"
"Ah... That hurt."
"Oh no.."
"What?"
Patten lightly touched Logan's back again and Logan winced.
"honey you've got sunburn"
"What? How?" Logan was so confused. He was the one who put on sunscreen, Patten didn't! They had the same body! How was Patten not burnt?
"I dunno. Come on Logan, let's get you home."
They began to walk back up to the house. Logan was still confused as to how he was burnt but Patten wasn't. They walked into the house and Patten ran to find a cactus.
"Why do you have a cactus?"
"No, this is a aloe vera cactus. It's good for your skin i promise."
"Okay"
Patten cut open the plant and began placing aloe everywhere that was burnt. Basically everywhere. Logan winced a couple times. Patten soothed Logan with every rub.
"You've missed a spot."
"I know"
Logan was confused.
"Can you get it?"
"Only if you say you love me!"
"Why?"
"Because... Why not."
"No."
"Well, there goes your back"
"Wait! Fine, fine. I..."
"Come onnnn"
"I love you"
"ThEre you go"
Patten rubbed the aloe on the last spot.
"I love you too."
