Moving back

" Mom" I yell through my bed room door hoping she hears me through all the shuffling I'm making with the packing boxes in front of me
Today we're moving back to my old town but I can't seem to find my charm bracelet that I got from my best friend in my old town I've been wearing that bracelet over 13 years but I took it off when I went to shower and now I just can't find it
Ive been going through all my boxes hoping I packed it with my clothes or something without knowing but it's just not coming up .
" yes Lorene " I hear my mom yell shortly after I yelled thankfully she heard me over all this  noise I'm making in my room " have you seen -" before I could finish my sentence I see my mom in my door way holding up the charm bracelet on her finger dangling it like it was a teddy bear or the prize you win at carnival or fair .
I instantly get up and snatch it off of her finger and put it on wrist and then repack everything I took out while I was looking for this charm bracelet
" your attached to that thing aren't you " my mom says laughing like it was a blanky or blanket you get when your a little kid and take everywhere but in some what weird way it kinda was like that for me it's just always been there when I needed it to be  . But to be fair moving into a new city which is bigger without  knowing anyone is kinda scary so I guess it was just a reminder to me that I had something from home with me to keep on to , that and it was stylish it had a little rose on it with a gold chain .

" I'm also attached to food and water to mom " I make a little remark to her so she would leave the room I mean I don't mind her company but I did unpack every box just for this charm while she had it all along .
" yes yes I get it Lorene mom go away but just be ready in 30 minutes we're leaving then "
My whole family has been rushing to get out of this city and move back to see there friends I mean it's been forever none of us had visited we chat with them here and then but never really had the time to visit .
It's not that we didn't want to but my dad and his job he barely has time for our family that's why we're actually moving back to our old town we saved enough money to move back and to continue our life's there .
Moving back means more time for dad to spend time with us but it also means mom has to work again but she's actually been missing the work from the old town . Weird right ? that's all I've been saying to her since she mentioned it to us at one family dinner .
I should stop saying old town and actually state the name of the town but for now your just gonna have to get use to the name ' old town' .

I look at the clock I notice it's about to be 8:00 am and our flight is at 10:00 am so I start grabbing the boxes and taking them to the car so we can finally leave this city not that I don't like it but Its ...just... I don't like it ... 🙂.
