A mysterious person

Chapter 6

"Ring..." The school bell rang as it announced the classes were over.

Jenna peeked at Harris from her table while packing her books. She walked out the class and into the hallway. As she was arranging her things at the locker, she heard a voice whispering from behind, "Remember, wait for me outside the main entrance." Jenna turned and saw Harris walked away. She took her bag and went out to the main entrance.

When Jenna was waiting for him, she remembered what had happened this morning.

"Aunt Andrea? " Harris and Jenna went to the kitchen to find aunt Andrea.

"Yes, anything to ask?"

Harris and Jenna exchanged glances. After a moment, Jenna said "Um, tomorrow we will be walking back home and we will be late so you don't need to pick us up from school."

Aunt Andrea raised up her head and looked at them as she was preparing for breakfast. "Why ? Do you guys have something to do?"

"Um.. we...we..." Jenna was speechless. She couldn't think of anything to answer her aunt.

"Yeah, we have a project to research on." Harris helped Jenna. She looked at him with an admired eyes. Harris grinned.

"Okay then, be careful ya!"

"Sure!" They said together.

Aunt Andrea

Although I agreed for not picking them up, but I am still curious about the reason why they will be coming back late. When they were answering my question, they bumbled. That makes me curious...

There was a tap on her shoulder following by a familiar voice," Jenna! Jenna! Can you hear me?"

"Yes.. yes." Jenna awoke from the reminiscence.

" Are you day-dreaming? " Harris laughed.

"No I'm not, is that so funny? " Jenna's face burned red. " And..and let's go now before it's too late!" she left Harris behind and walked down the stairs. She decided to cross the road herself but she felt a little nervous. Just as Jenna was crossing the road, there was a car coming in a high speed from her left and she didn't notice. Luckily, Harris scampered while running towards Jenna to save her.

As Jenna was looking to her left, she saw a car speeding towards her, and it seems like trying to break. But it was too late. She stood there , trying to move but failed. She felt like her leg was damn heavy. Jenna closed her ears with both hands. Just as the car was 1 meter away from her, Harris caught her and they both fell backwards to the ground near the stairs of their school's main entrance.

Jenna's head knocked the ground, but it was not too hard. She just felt a bit dizzy. She saw a figure of a man on top of her, but it was too vague for her to see who was that.

Harris sat up with the help of his elbow and stood beside Jenna. He shook Jenna's shoulder to wake her up. "Jenna...Jenna..are you okay?" Jenna opened her eyes slowly from the faintness. Harris held out a hand for her to help her get up.

His hand was warm and comfortable. Jenna blushed. "Yeah, I'm okay." She pointed to the road in front of them and said, "And thanks for helping me there."

"You're welcome. If you're fine now, then let's cross the road together, okay?

"Sure, I'm fine now."

"Perhaps you had forgotten to look at the cars, clumsy." Harris sticked out his tongue.

"You!" Jenna gave him a fierce stare.

" Me what?" Harris laughed.

"Err...fine! Let's go." This time, Jenna walked beside him and crossed the road together.

They reached the entry of a narrow and cold street where the puppy was found. But there weren't any evidence for them to find the clues and reason.

"Harris, I think we had thought too much. Let's go home, I'm hungry." Jenna blurted as she heard a sound coming from her stomach reminding her of dinner.

"Okay, let's go..." Harris sighed, but followed Jenna walked out the narrow street.

The sky had turned to a night sky. They didn't notice there was someone watching them behind a trash can in the street.

It must be her, the doppelgänger of our Jenna. Hah! Succeed. Thanks to Crash for his brilliant idea in investigating this parallel universe. This world is the same as ours. But the technology here is worst than our country... Anyway, I need to think of something that can transfer this girl to our universe...and that boy too, of course......
