Sitting up from lying down in a bed, I scanned my surroundings. I clasped my hands in my mouth "what happened? Where am I?" I questioned myself gently placing my foot on the carpeted floor.
I started roaminf inside a huge room, there's a black leather couch, a small coffee table, one plasma television hangs on the dark red painted wall, a floor to ceiling glass windows and when I looked up, the high ceiling was accessorized by large chandeliers then there's a study table on the right corner, with a bookshelf beside it. I drag my feet in the middle of the spacious room, twirling around then I spotted three doors. One on the right side then two others on the left side.
Paranoia started eating up my system, scanning my body "nothing's aching, I mean I'm alright, nothing's wrong with me, I guess? Wow! now I'm talking to myself" I don't think this is a motel too, a Victorian style motel? Gahd! Everything just screams, hey Lexi we're more expensive than your own life
"OMG!" I gasped, covering my mouth "did some syndicate kidnapped me while I'm sleeping at the covered court?" I tried to look for my duffel bag but it's not here.
I quickly walked to the door in the right hoping it's the door that'll take me outside but so much for my disappointment it isn't, it's a bathroom "a very spacious bathroom that's almost quantuplet the size of Mrs. Choi's apartment" I closed it again then I drag my feet to the first door in the left. "it's lock oh my god! Did they locked me in here?" I panicked so I ran to the next door, twisting it's knob, it freaking opened!
I poke my head out slowly, making sure there's no one around and when I assumed that the coast is clear that's when I stepped out. I sneak around the long hallway until I reached the grand staircase. When I say grand staircase, I mean it has a red carpet like those in royal castles, a marble foundation with gold in it. OMG this must be a very rich syndicate. I wonder if there are CCTVs in the area so I looked up, left to right while I'm making my way down, trying hard not to make any sound being grateful that there's no CCTV.
The place is so deafening silent. My luck, there's no one here. I sneak to the doubled doors I saw, slowly opening it, hoping it was the main door that'll lead me outside but to my dismay, another wrong guess, it isn't the main door but a library or something? Then I spotted another door at the end. Oh god, please let it be the main door.
I slowly make my way inside the room while walking backwards, making sure there's no one around. I was very thankful that I've found that there's no CCTV heh!
And when I finally got inside the room, turning my heels ready to run to the door at the end, a hand suddenly made its way to my neck clasping it so tight that I started to lose my breath. I felt my feet being lifted from the carpeted floor.
"p-please..let me..g-go~" a guy with a flaming red eyes was choking me to death. A GUY WITH.. RED. EYES? OH MY GOD!
I tried prying his hands off my neck but it was no use, he's so strong and he looks like he wanted me dead.
"arbiter" he whispered in a very dangerous tone. A word I cannot understand as his hands felt tighter in my neck.
My eyes started to blur as my lungs keep feeling tighter inside my body. I was almost out of breath. Is this the end of me? I'm starting to pray now as tears fall down in my cheeks. Clutching on the necklace my mom gave me while slowly closing my eyes.
I know I'm already doomed, living this world without happiness for almost all my life since my parents disappeared, I know I'm now ready to live---
My butt suddenly landed on the floor with a loud thud. The guy did let go of me as he step back. I started to cough, gasping for air
"what are you doing here? How did you even GET here?!" the guy said in a notorious tone.
