"It still hurts." I told Yolanda. She sighed and slowly took the bandages off. "You'll be fine, Mr. Powers took care of it just in time." She said taking a look at my foot.

"...Is it bad?" I asked. She sighed. "You'll be fine I'm sure. Just take it easy and I'll bring your food up to you for now on." I smiled a little. "Thank you." She nodded and wrapped my foot up and walked out the door.

She was about to close it when Jay stepped in. I slightly rolled my eyes not wanting to look at him right now. I can't believe he got that mad. He's so damn heartless. "Can we talk?"

He asked. I was silent. "Well your not responding so I guess that means proceed." He said. I rolled my eyes again. "I'm sorry." He said. I smacked my lips.

"Bullshit." I said. He sighed and scratched the top of his head. "I don't expect you to accept my apology but I am sorry Rose. I just get-" "Pissed? Agitated? Turn into a complete asshole?" I asked tilting my head to the side.

"Look arguing isn't gonna help anything, and it isn't gonna held your foot." "And I wonder who's fault that is." I said. He licked his Lips and walked out the room closing the door behind himself.

"You can't force me to stay here forever!" I yelled. I laid back against the headboard thinking this was a huge ass mistake. God I'd rather be in jail.

Jay

I did one more sit up on my push up bar and landed on my feet. I grabbed my water bottle and drunk the rest. "Mr. Powers." I looked up and saw Yolanda.

"What's up?" I asked. She sighed. "I was hoping we could talk about Ms. Rose." She said. I frowned. "What about her?" I asked. She sighed. "I'm sure she didn't try to go in the baby's room-"

"But she did, and I told her not to worry about it." "Exactly, you told her not to worry about it. Not to go in there." She said. I was silent. "I already apologized." I said.

"Yea you did...But you have to show her that your sorry." she said. I scoffed. "I honestly don't care." "Sure you don't...But all she saw was a monster, a beast..
That's scared to love again." She said.

I frowned a little taken back. "The truth hurts Mr. Powers." She said sitting another water bottle on the small table.

I jumped my way to the fridge and held the handle with both hands so I wouldn't fall. I opened it and pulled the lemonade out and sat it on the island. "Arent you supposed to be in bed?"

I looked up and rolled my eyes when I saw Jay. I closed the fridge and hopped over to the cabinet to grab a glass when Jay beat me to it. He rinsed it off and sat it on the island before filling my glass.

He handed it to me looking up at me. I rolled my eyes and snatched it out his hand. "Damn no thank you?" He asked. "No cause I didn't need your help." I said.

He nodded his head. "Okay I deserved that." "You deserve a whole lot more believe me asshole." I spat. He licked his lips and grabbed my hips sitting me on the counter.

"Leave me alone." I said. He sighed. "How many times do I have to say I'm sorry?" He asked I took a sip of my drink and looked away from him.

"You can start by telling me about that room." I said finally meeting his eyes. He looked at me then back down. I sat my glass down and grabbed his face. "You can talk to me." I said.

He shook his head and grabbed my hands. "I'm not ready to talk about it yet." He said. I could tell it was something serious. "Oh okay." I just said.

"And to show you that I'm sorry, how about we have a movie night?" He asked. I smiled. "Sure."
