A shot rang through the whole building. It made the flock jump when they heard it.

"Did you hear that?!" Katheryn asked sounding scared. Everyone nodded to reasure her that they all had heard the same thing.

"What do you think they were shooting at?" Skylar asked confused.

"I don't know. Maybe some animal," Naxtern guessed.

"Or an intruder," Aisha added.

"Maybe someone that turned out to be a spy," Autumn pitched in.

"I hope they're shooting at each other," Luna replied. Sol giggled at the comment.

"What if they're shooting at Hero?!" SkyBird said nervously.

"I don't think they would shoot at her. We all have wings so I don't think they want us dead," Sapphy replied calmly.

"What if they're shooting at the president cause they'e rebeling?" Keno questioned.

"Let's hope that's happening," Ray said trying to imagine it.

"Let's just hope they were training or not shooting at anything," Ayame said. Katie nodded.

"Yeah," Rowan replied. The door opened up. Six army men came in with loaded rifles. The president and Dr. Williams entered the room.

"We would like to give you all a mini tour of your new home till you die," the president said with a grin. Dr. Williams and the president led the flock out of the room. There were three two army men in front of the flock, one army man on each side of the flock, and two army men behind the flock. The president and Dr. Williams stopped at a hallway with a big long window.

"Look on the other side of the window. Those are some of my greatest creations," Dr. Williams said with pride in his voice. The flock peeked in and were truly horrified. There was a little girl with horns on her head and goat hoaves as feet. There was a boy with one arm missing, fish fins on his legs, and a lion tail. There a pair of twins who were attached at the hip.

Peter looked away sickened. SkyBird patted Peter on the back letting him know everything was going to be okay.

"This is way too Maximum Ride for me," Ayame said turning away from the window.

"What did you do to these poor children?!" Skylar asked Dr. Williams. She was only seconds away from tackling the doctor.

"I replaced their normal limbs with those of animals," Dr. Williams replied coldly. Obviously he didn't seem to have a heart. If he did it was replaced with a black hole or it was frozen in ice.

"First this was like Maximum Ride, but now it feels like the Vocaloid song Dark Woods Circus!" Katie said a bit confused.

"Yeah I agree. This is a bit like Dark Woods Circus. Sorry Dr. Williams but someone already took your brilliant plan," Rowan said sarcastically. Dr. Williams sighed in frustration.

"Unfortunately all these experiments are failures so they will be killed. We will be relocating the facility," Dr. Williams said.

"You can't kill these kids! They don't deserve to die! If anything you two deserve to DIE!" SkyBird screamed at Dr. Williams and the president. Sapphy patted SkyBird on the back.

"What about us?" Keno asked.

"We'll be bringing you all with us," Dr. Williams replied. Dr. Williams and the president brought the flock back to the concrete room. Dr. Williams and the president shut and locked the door once they walked out.

"We need to get out of here and free those kids," Autumn said to the rest of the flock.

"Good idea but how do we get out of this room?" Sol asked.

"Yeah. We need a key to get out," Katheryn said pointing to the keyhole.

"I have the key," Peter said opening the palm of his hand revealing a key.

"How'd you get that?" Naxtern asked impressed.

"While you all were talking to the doctor and jerk of a president I decided to sneak away and grab a key I saw on the wall when having the tour," Peter explained.

"Nice job Peter!" Aisha said with a grin. Peter walked over to the door and unlocked the door. The rest of the flock followed and quickly ran out of the room. Peter turned to his friends.

"Now we go rescue those kids we saw and see if Hero's here. If she's not here then we should start searching for her once we get out of here," Peter said. Dr. Williams and some army men appeared behind Peter.

"Uh...Peter turn around and don't freak out," Ray said pointing behind him. The rest of the flock was pretty much paralized. Peter slowly turned around and came face to face with Dr. Williams.

"So you were the one who stole the key off the wall," Dr. Williams said noticing the key in Peter's hands.

"Get out of our way. You don't scare us," Peter said determined. Dr. Williams looked at the army men behind him. Two army men quickly grabbed Peter before Peter could attack the doctor. The rest of the army men restrained the flock and dragged them back to the room they had tried to escape from. Dr. Williams brought Peter with him.

"Where are they taking Peter?!" SkyBird asked apparently very concerned. Sapphy shrugged and hugged SkyBird. Sapphy wished she could take away SkyBird's fear, pain, sorrow, and anger. She couldn't though.

Dr. Williams brought Peter to a room with a bed, medical tools, and a shelf with some magazines. Dr. Williams pulled out a pistol and pointed it at Peter.

"Please! Please don't do this! Please don't kill me! Please! Please don't do this!" Peter begged as he put his arms in front of himself.

"I'm so sorry it has to come to this. Don't worry though this isn't goodbye," Dr. Williams said with a smirk.

"It isn't?" Peter asked still nervous and scared.

"No it's not," Dr. Williams said kindly.

"So you're not going to shoot me?" Peter said beginning to relax a bit.

"Oh...I still have to shoot you," Dr. Williams said as he shot at Peter. Peter fell to the ground with blood coming out of his throat.

"I'm so sorry," Dr. Williams said with an evil grin.

"But don't worry this isn't goodbye," he said smirking. He began to laugh to himself as he looked down at the winged boy laying motionless on the floor with a puddle of blood forming.

Outside snow began to softly fall from the sky. Delicate snowflakes fell on the grass and building. The white snow was truly beautiful. Yet even the beauty of the snow couldn't stop the blood being shed inside the facility. The poor children who where prisoners stuck in an ongoing, neverending nightmare. Will the nightmare ever end?
