Friday Afternoon

Y/N P.O.V

There's only a couple more weeks until Prom and then school ends. Of course you are that girl who reads books in the corner of the room. You are very shy and don't have that much friends except Kevin, Daniel, Devin and your best friend Courtney.

All five of you guys have been through hell and back together but for some reason why all of you have been very distant for each other. Or should I be more specific, they have been distant from you. You don't have no reason why, but it's 6th period and the day is almost over so you text the group-chat and see if the gang wants to hang out today after school. 

Y/N: Hey guys! I was wondering since everyone hasn't talked in awhile, why don't we hang out today after school. Who's down for Dunkin Donuts?

You waited and waited and waited but no one replied until Devin texted you separately.

Devin: Hey Y/N! Sorry I didn't reply in the group-chat but today everyone was discussing about going out, but I don't know why they didn't tell you. I would've but they told me not to.

You started to tear up. Is this that 'dramatic friendship split-up' that everyone says happens in high school? What did I do to make them not want to be friends with me? Why wasn't I enough?

The bell rang and you went out to the hall but there wasn't a soul in sight. You began to worry and wonder what was going on so you just went about your day and went to you locker. As you walked to your locker you seen a note on it and it read.

'Meet me in the field after your 6th period- Devin'

As you walked through the halls making your way to the cafeteria and out the doors to the field you started to see people. Everyone was in along the bleachers and were very quiet until someone ran up to you and gave you a rose with a small piece of paper on it that read: 

'Keep going you are almost there'

As you kept walking towards the field you seen your best friends, Kevin, Daniel, and Courtney. Courtney was holding a sign that said, 'Y/N, I've had the biggest crush on you since we were little.' Then you glanced over the Kevin and the sign read, 'I just didn't have the guts to tell you' Last but not least Daniels sign, 'So, Y/N will you go to prom with me?'. 

The crowd got silent and Devin came from behind and hugged you. You turned around with tears in you face and looked Devin in the eyes.

"Y/N I'm sorry we've been distant the past couple of weeks. I've been trying to figure out the perfect way to ask the girl of my dreams to go to prom with me. I know you might not like me right now because I've been ignoring you the past couple of weeks but I lov...''

You cut Devin off by kissing his soft lips passionately sealing it with the words 'I love you too and yes I will go to prom with you'

Devin turns around towards the whole crowd and yells, "She said YES!"

The crowd cheers and the day ends.

 All five of you guys walk to the parking lot and get into your separate cars(Boys car: Newest addition of a BMW. Idk the name. Your car was a Matte Black Mercedes jeep), the boys in one car and Courtney got into yours. Coincidentally you guys were parked right next to each other. When you got in the car you sat there and started to day-dream about Devin.

"So, I'm sorry I kept this from you for so long. Devin obviously wanted to keep this a secret."

You looked Courtney in the eyes, "Girl I didn't know mouth of the south wold be able to keep this secret." You both started laughing and Courtney punched you in the arm.
