Chapter 2 - Mysterious Stranger

It's a brand new day, the birds are chirping outside, the Sun is out but I can't seem to figure out why I was on my bed, I mean last thing I remembered is sitting by the window last night. Oh wait no, I thought to myself wasn't that a dream, was I really carried to my bed by someone. No that's impossible, I brushed it off.

I reached for my phone it's 7 am, at this rate I will be late for work. I scurried off and the hardest part of the day choosing what to wear, after 30 daunting minutes, I slipped into my knee high black pencil skirt and my red blouse. With no time to spare I grabbed my purse and phone and ran down the stairs, Mom had already left for work as well, no time for breakfast I thought as I rushed out into my car.

I sped down the quiet streets of Sirus, with 5 minutes to spare I arrive to work, while in the parking lot, I noticed a new car " wow, that's a hot ride", I thought its probably another guest here for a meeting .

As I entered the doors of Exdo.Co, you can smell the coffee in the airs, and of course everyone busy as always. Exdo.Co is an small accounting firm in Sirus, everyday is the usual nothing new ever happens. I said my casual goodmornings to my colleagues and went to my desk, organized as always.

"Hmm this is strange" I mumbled as I notice a letter on my desk. Getting a letter in an accounting firm isn't really strange but when it's in a parchment envelope with a red seal on it then something is definitely out of wack.
I was about to open it when Miranda popped up behind me all hyped. "Did you see him" Miranda said, " he's so hot" she went on and on about some new guy in the office. "Miranda calm down, who is the new guy now?" I asked. She smirked and whispered " see for yourself" then in a flash she bolted away from my desk as I was about to stop her, I was caught in his gaze.
A enticing gaze I must say, for a few seconds I felt helpless. Then I snapped out of it, then it was too late he was approaching.
"Good morning, Seraphina, We haven't met as yet, let me introduce myself, I'm Alexander Parker, you can call me Alex tho, I'm your new office manager"

"Wait what, New office manager, what happened to Mr Newton" I blurted out without thought. He replied " My dear a Hi or Hello would be nice you know"
"Oh my, where are my manners I'm very sorry Mr .Parker, How do you do ? I look forward to working with you" He smiled and nodded " Now that's better princess but I insist u call me Alex, and Mr Newton passed away yesterday the circumstances are still unknown" I gasped with horror and disbelief Mr Newton gone so early, he was observing me which made me give him an confusing look to which he smirked and said " Do have a good day" and when towards this office.

There I was left all confused it's only been an hour since I got to work and so much has happened. Mr . Newton is dead, Miranda is Obessing again over our new office manager which is quite usual, then there's him the way he spoke was as if he knew me, it was all too familiar. And who does he think he is calling me Princess.

That day went on with rambling thoughts in my mind, I couldn't concentrate on my work at all. Too much has happened in two days first I get anonymous messages now this.
