This chapter was going to be too long for only one chapter, so I split it into 3 parts. Part one will mainly be early morning, the bus ride, and getting situated in the room. Part 2 will be after SS performs, and before Mane Stage does. (Collab with Roman_Marie !) And Part 3 will be the results of the competition. I couldn't write it all in one chapter, it would be waaaay too long. They already are long chapters as it is. Anywhoosies... Enjoy Part 1!!

Morgans alarm went off at 5:00 am. She hit it lightly and yawned, before jumping out of bed.

"First competition of the season woo hoo!" she squealed softly. She put on her Mane Stage shirt and the jacket she got through show choir. She grabbed her duffel bag and her activity bag. Her blanket was sticking out of her activity bag, but she didn't care. She headed to the kitchen, and saw her parents at the kitchen talking in hushed tones. When they saw her they stopped talking, and her mom stood and walked to her.

"Morning sweetheart! Did you sleep well?" she asked. Morgan nodded.

"I did. Did you two?" she asked as she set her duffel bag down by the door. Her mom and dad both nodded.

"We did, and we want to drive you to the school together. We were just talking about that. Also, for your eggs, scrambled or fried?" her dad said, walking to the fridge. He pulled out the box of eggs, and then a frying pan.

"Fried please!" Morgan said, heading to her room. She unplugged her phone, portable charger, and laptop. She packed her laptop in the case, and put her phone, charger cord, and portable charger into the pocket. She brought the case out of her room, and set it by her other bags.

"That's a lot to carry, Morgan, are you sure you got it all?" her mom asked. Morgan nodded.

"Of course! I can get it all. Hey dad, remember, with my eggs, light on the salt, and a tiny more pepper than salt.Hey mom, did you see my headphones anywhere?" Morgan asked, looking in the family room.

"Last I saw they were in the den by the TV remote," her mom responded, heading to her room. Morgan went into the den.

"Found them!"

Morgan got into the choir room at 5:45, and set her stuff down on the risers. Not many were there yet, but enough were there that made butterflies go crazy in her stomach. Her first competition for anything! She was so excited, but also very nervous. Soon others filed in, and the members of Sides Saddlers either had curlers in their hair, all their makeup done, or both. Morgan hadn't thought to do anything before the show.

"Hey Morgan! Aren't you excited?! First competition!! EEEEEEE!" Ashley squealed when she arrived. Morgan laughed.

"Of course, Ashley! I can't wait, ahh!!" Morgan squealed back. Kelsey came in and laughed at them.

"You two are going to have a blast! But save your energy for later. It is a long day today, and if we make finals it'll be even longer. If we make finals, we aren't getting back here until 12:45 ish, and then aren't getting home 'til around 1. Trust me, competitions are long, and generally boring," she said. "But also they are fun if you know what to do. Trust me, if you two stick with me, you will have a blast!"

"Oh I hope so! Come on, the bus is waiting, let's roll out!" Ashley said, as they walked outside. It was very cold out since it was January, and Morgan shivered slightly.

"Let's hope the bus isn't cold, 40 minutes on a cold bus would kill me!" she said, carrying her stuff. Her pillow pet fell out of her activity bag, and she stopped to pick it up and someone bumped into her, knocking her bag off her shoulder.

"Oh sorry Morgan! Here let me help," Gavin said, grabbing her bag. She laughed.

"Of all people to bump into Gavin," Morgan teased. Gavin chuckled.

"What can I say? You are like a magnet," he said, handing her her bag. He winked and got on the bus. Morgan picked up her pillow pet and was blushing.

"Well, well, well, someone's got a crush on Gavin," she heard a menacing chuckle behind her. She turned around to Abygale and Arianna standing behind her, smirking evilly.

"Too bad, he has a girlfriend you know. Pity you didn't know, oh well. Better get on the bus," Abygale said laughing. Gavin? A girlfriend? But he would've told me, wouldn't he have? Of course he would. I am just being paranoid. Morgan thought as she got on the middle bus. She sat next to Ashley, and in front of Gavin and Luke. Wait! If he had a girlfriend he wouldn't have taken me to dinner and a movie during Christmas break. Haha! I know your plan Abygale and Arianna, but it just will not work. Morgan thought.

"Alright everyone, full attention to our room hosts! And remember, be polite," Kellie said to everyone on the bus. A boy that appeared to be a senior walked onto the bus.

"Welcome Tryverg groups! My name is Josh, I host Mane Stage, and I will be taking you to your rooms. But first, I need to stamp everyone's hands so you can get in to see shows. I'll come by and please have your left inner wrist ready," the boy said, pulling a stamper out of his pocket.

After everyone had been stamped, they filed off the bus with all their stuff. Morgan walked next to Ashley and

"Hey Morgan!" Gavin said, catching up to her. Morgan turned to him and smiled.

"Hey what's up?" she asked him.

"I was just curious if you knew about something at competitions, and I wanted to tell you about it," he responded. Morgan looked at him, confused.

"Okay?" she asked.

"It's called Solo Comp. It's where someone performs a song of their choice in front of a judge, and they get a chance to sing in front of the whole gym," he explained.

"That sounds terrifying," Morgan responded. Gavin chuckled slightly.

"It's not too scary. I actually performed it once, as a duet. And we actually won!" he said, smiling.

"I thought you said you hadn't done show choir before this year?" Morgan questioned. Gavin's face went white.

"Okay, I guess I did last year, but I say I didn't because I wasn't there the whole year. I joined mid-practice time. (We interrupt this broadcast to make note of a situation. I added that because I reread some of my chapters, and realized that I had said he hadn't done show choir before, when in a later chapter I said he did. So, that was my fix. Back to your regularly scheduled programming.)

"Ah ha! I new it wasn't a slip up when you said that you fell off stage once!" Morgan poked, joking around. Gavin laughed.

"Yeah, I guess I deserve that," he said laughing.

As soon as the groups found their rooms they were greeted by confetti, candy, and streamers hanging from the ceiling. In the room for Mane Stage, there was a white board with their times written on it, and next to the times were images of horse heads with their names written on them. The songs that they did were also written on the board in black expo marker. In Side Saddlers room there also was a white board with the groups times written on them, and next to the times were cut out saddle silhouette's and the names of the members on them.

As soon as Mane Stage was in their room, Everyone spread out quickly to claim a spot somewhere. The room was just big enough for everyone to comfortably lay out their stuff, and for each girl to have a table to set her makeup on. Soon, Morgan had her stuff laid out between Ashley and Kelsey.

This concludes part 1 of Chapter 19 First Competition. This chapter is super long, and the other two will be just as long, if not longer. I split it because I didn't want the chapter to basically be "they did this, then they did this, after that they did this, no dialogue whatsoever". So sorry if it is inconvenient for you, but to tell you the truth, I don't care if it is. XD any ways I hope you enjoyed the first part of the first competition! We shall continue the story after Side Saddlers perform! I also would like to thank you guys, I GOT OVER 300 READS ON THIS STORY!!! I can't express how happy I am that you enjoy this, just... AHH!! I love you all so much!! ❤️❤️❤️
