I bit nervously on my lower lip as I walked through the narrow hallway, in an attempt to find dorm number 28.

I wasn't surprised that the hallway was quite empty, assuming most girls were still at the bending match right now.

The interior was very elegant and luxe, which didn't surprise me too much anymore. The floor was covered by a red carpet, the walls white with a golden pattern, matching the doors leading to the bedrooms.

I swallowed harshly as I finally arrived at a door with a golden 28 on it. I fumbled with the digital card I had picked up earlier at the reception in the main area of the girls' dorm. The receptionist had told me the little plastic card was the key to my door.

I held my breath as the little light next to the silver door handle shone a green colour after I held the card against it.

Trying to be as quiet as possible, I carefully pushed the white door open.

I sighed relieved after I peeked my head in, confirming the room was currently unoccupied. IT was quite tiny, just big enough to fit two double beds, closets and a large desk with two chairs.

I was about to step in as a door in the left corner next to the desk popped open. My eyes widened in shock as a petite girl stepped out, clearly just finished having a shower. Her frame was wrapped in a pink towel, a smaller white one wrapped around her hair.

She didn't notice me for a solid minute, but I decided to clear my throat in case she decided to strip naked without knowing I was watching her.

Her eyes widened for a fraction as she noticed my frozen frame in the doorway, her mouth morphing into a wide grin before she started to wave at me.

"Hey! You're the new girl!" She breathed. "Seems I will be getting a roommate after all. The name's Krystal, nice to meet you!" She spoke happily as she held her hand out.

I quickly stumbled into the room to shake her small hand. "Gabrielle." I spoke softly as her fingers wrapped firmly over my hand.

"Nice to meet you Gabrielle. Sorry you have to see me naked the first time you meet me." She giggled before she dropped her towel in a heart beat.

I quickly shut my eyes in reflex, turning my head in another direction. I didn't dare to breath nor move as she giggled again.

"It's okay, don't worry." She told me. "We all have the same body, right?" I heard her moving around as the sounds of her footsteps travelled behind me, to what I assume her closet.

I slowly opened my eyes again, relieved that she was now behind my back. "I-I guess so..." I spoke softly, to which she giggled again.

"Sorry if that was a bit too straightforward. I'm just not really used to having a roommate, I guess. During my whole boarding school career, I've never had one, actually." She seemed sad for a quick second before continuing. "Until now that is!" She spoke up as she nudged my shoulder from behind.

It was the first time someone my age had touched me like that, I couldn't help but smile softly at the warmth her simple nudge gave me. "Yeah, I guess so." I said again, grimacing at my lack of forming proper sentences.

I slowly turned around to find Krystal in cute pink shorts and a cream, long-sleeved sweater.

She gave me another big smile as she continued to walk around the small room to hang up her towel. "I was really excited to hear I was getting a roommate! Even though I only got told by principle Lee this morning." She rolled her eyes, making me smile briefly. "I figured I would stay in to welcome you. The bending matches aren't really my cup of tea either, so it was a nice excuse to skip it." She shrugged with a small smile on her lips.
