"Faith!" my mom, Carole called to me from downstairs.
"Yes?" I hollered back,
"Are you ready to go pick up Flame?" She yelled addressing my new horse Flame.
"Yes!" I filled with excitement  as I tried not to run down the stairs.
"Meet me in the truck," my mom said grabbing the keys for the truck. I nod and get two apples one for the new horse and one for me. I start walking outside to the smell of horses and get into our black truck.
"Faith we are here!" My mom called trying to wake me up. "But I was in the
Middle of a good dream." I complained trying to stretch out in the truck.
I walked into the barn with my mom ahead of me. She turned a left and knocked on a green door that said Office in big bold letters.
"Come in!" A person hollered back. My mom opened the door holding it open as I walked in.
"Hello Faith and Linda, how are you guys today?"
"Oh we are good! How about you?"
"Wonderful!" Sean the owner of the barn replied back.
"That's nice, we're  here to pick up Flame." My mom said smiling at Sean as he nodded and smiled back getting out of his chair and opening the door and  holding it for my mom and me. After Sean closed the door we walked down a few rows of stalls. Finally Sean stopped at a beautiful red bay Dutch Warmblood. The red bay stuck his Fine chiseled head out the head gate of the stall door and perked his ears, sniffing Sean's hand.
"He's a beauty," my mom said to Sean and reached out letting the horse sniff her.
"Is he a gelding?" I asked petting his muzzle.
"Yes he is; he has been checked by the vet and got his feet done yesterday. He also got dewormed yesterday. He should be ready to go." Sean smiles at my mom and me.
"Is he scared of any jumps?" I ask as Sean hands me the lead rope with Flame attached to the other end and he opened the stall door.
"He is not scared of it but he has a hard time with grids, but practice the grids with him and he will jump them like a hunter," Sean winks and continues. "If you have any questions or problems your mom can text or call me." he nodded towards my mom and she nodded smiling at me.
"Well I think we are good to go now, it was nice meeting you Sean." she smiled and shook his hand after I did and we said goodbye walking out of the monumental jumping/ eventing barn.
