Meeting Stu

You moved to Crawley in the U.K. from Brooklyn, NY, USA. You were really awkward and shy and just didn't know how to approach people. On your first day, you didn't speak with anyone or even really look at anyone. The next day was the same. The week was the exact same, boring and lonely. People started to make fun of you for being so "weird". 

One day, a little boy came up and sat next to you on the bus. You'd seen him around school quite a bit considering you had all the same classes as him. He just sat there, glancing at you a few times. He seemed shy and awkward as well. You wanted to talk to him but decided not to. He started sitting with you at lunch, too. Eventually he broke the silence. "Eh, I'm Stuart. Stuart Pot. Em... I'm sorry fo' not introducin' myself befo'... You just seemed a bi' dazed." "Oh... Yeah I guess. I'm (y/n). It's good to meet you." You say. He looks at you a little bit amazed. "You've got a really pretty voice! Hey, come wif me, I wan' tah show yew somefin'..." he said. 

You followed him out of the building and to a back area. Scared of what he was going to do, you sat down and kept looking around for exits just in case of anything. You were a little surprised when all he did was pull out a pack of cigs and offer you one. "Sure, but I've never smoked before." You say. He smiles and explains it to you.

You and Stu were now in high school and were best friends - each other's only real friends in fact. You had developed a crush on him despite you guys being so close. "AYE, (Y/N) WUTS UP, LUV!?" He'd always scream to you in the halls. You'd always get a bit flustered but would just respond with "Oh wow, how cute. You called me 'luv'" you giggled. You and Stu were so close and so many people assumed you and him were dating when you guys had tried to explain it so many times to everyone that you guys are JUST FRIENDS. Of course you wanted more...

You and Stu would sometimes sneak away during lunch to have a smoke or two together and you enjoyed the time with him - as always. Whatever time you could spend with him, you would. Neither of you cared much for school but you did really good while Stuart failed pretty much everything. He was a musical genius though and you really admired that. You and him would write songs together and sing together almost all the time. You loved it, his voice was so beautiful and it was amazing when your voices melted together. Anyway, you guys did basically EVERYTHING together. He was so great and perfect and you just loved everything about him. 

After high school though, you had to get a job and couldn't stay in touch with Stu as much, which saddened you because you loved him... You stayed put in Crawley for work.
