Prologue

When our world fell apart, into chaos and ruin, we were the ones secretly tasked with helping to bring the world back to its former state. To peace and prosperity. We have achieved most of that goal, but some kingdoms and states do not seem to make it as easy as it was described. Theft and corruption has clouded people's good judgement, and left many towns torn asunder while others burned right to the ground. Lucky for us, we reside in a secluded and peaceful area, where we now plan to take back the world.

Chapter 1- The Task

"STOP!" Alli screamed making the other three turn around and stare at her in bewilderment. She walked cautiously forward, followed by three pairs of eyes. She couldn't help but feel like there was another pair carefully trained on her, watching everything. She gently flicked the silver string in front of her left foot and jumped backwards as four hand-crafted darts with yellow feathers on the end shot right where her head had been. Venus, Aleia and Connor snapped up and eyed their surroundings carefully. Alli could sense that fourth pair of eyes again, and just couldn't shake the feeling that someone had deliberately put that tripwire there just for them. The lush green, long grass and trees with fanned leaves bigger then Alli would certainly be fit to hide more than one individual. Noisy birds and bugs chirped and sang overhead, making it hard to hear many things. The two trees that the wire was wound around were sturdy, with thick dark brown trunks that stretched high into the air and canopied the surrounding areas. They were the same as the other trees. Suddenly a large shadow covered the ground in front of them and a figure came thumping towards the ground. They dived out of the way as the toweringly tall man came charging down upon them, causing the ground to crumble and shake. Alli steadied her balance and shot a ball of lightning straight towards the bandit. He laughed and easily blocked. "This is the so called most powerful group of individuals in the land?" he mockingly scoffed. "Just a warning shot" Alli replied irritably, shrugging her shoulders casually. "I didn't want to take you down until I knew how powerful you were" She giggled, knowing the shocked expression that captured the bandit's large jagged face. She fired again, pretending to miss. The bandit watched behind him as the ball went shooting off into the distance. Aleia crept into the shrubs as he whirled around again. "You're quite the rotten shot aren't you?" he said to Alli. "I might be, but she's certainly not" Alli said, pointing to the shrubs. Aleia fired a ball of ice toward the bandit, knocking him out cold.  She then walked out of the bush furiously brushing at her shoulder. "Great. I think I now have a spider friend" She said, irritated. "We have to get him out of here. We can't have people finding out about us" Venus said hurriedly. They quickly headed back to the Palace, carrying one monster of a weight along with them. "That's the 6th one this week!" Venus complained when they got back. "How are we supposed to put the land back together if we don't even know what we're doing or up against?" Connor said tiredly. "We have to have faith that one day, fate will realign itself to suit the best interests of others." Alli stepped forward. "They looked to the glass roof and saw the only star that stayed out during day and night, and prayed upon fate to help them through their journey.
