"[y/n]!!!! Come down we're going to be late!"
"Uugghmmmmmm," I drowsily opened my eyes, shifting in my warm bed.
"Come on [y/n]!!!" My mother yelled again.
"Mmmm 5 more minutes!!!"
"5 more minutes my ass, get down here now!"
"Uugghhhhh..." I angrily kicked off my sheets, sitting up right lazily looking over to my alarm clock. "6:00 am,"
I sighed in exhaustion, getting out of my bed and into the bathroom, looking at myself in the mirror before brushing my teeth.
"Girl...you are a hot mess," I chuckled softly, brushing away at my pearly whites. Once ready I got my luggage that was pre-packed from yesterday and headed down stairs.
"Listen I need you in the car right now, it's 7:03 and we're already running late, I gotta be at my new job for a meeting at 4," she quickly packed up her bags and headed to the car, placing the bags in the trunk. Doing the same I walked up to car and shoved my bags in, sitting down in the passengers. My mother soon following and got in the drivers seat, buckling in.
"Seat belt come on," she gave me a sly grin.
"Mom common I'm 16 already, not a baby,"
"Doesn't mean you're invincible, seat belt now," she sternly demanded.
I huffed in annoyance and buckled up, looking back to see my furry friend wagging his tail happily.
"Hey goober! Excited for today?!" I scratched the back of his ear, receiving a happy bark from the little pup. "Yeah me too buddy,"

Today was my moms big day for her new job in New York

Today was my moms big day for her new job in New York. If the meeting goes well she'll be the new face for Saki Corp. One of the biggest corporations in NY. As for me my big day will be tomorrow, heading to a new school. I'm just hoping it doesn't end up like my old one. After countless of hours driving, 7 and a half to be exact, we finally made it to the Big Apple. Cars beeping, people yelling, sales men all over the streets. For most people it would seem like a disaster, on the other hand I loved it. Sure it's a crowded and noisy place but it's better then living up in Maine, cold as hell up there and where I lived we were very isolated. Not another house for miles. Took an hour and a half to get to school each morning, luckily here it's not as cold and I'll take the bus which will only be a 15 minute one, not counting traffic of course. Still beats Maine. I looked up at the towering buildings, my face in pure awe.
"Sure is exciting isn't it," Mom warmly smiled.
"Yup...you nervous about your  job?" I asked turning to face her, still she kept her eye on the road of course, which keep in mind was moving very slowly.
"Of course! I mean if I don't nail this interview I won't have a job," her grip tightened on the steering wheel, knuckles turning white.
"Don't worry about it mom, you'll do great," I reassured her.
"Thanks sweetie..." she smiled patting my head. Traffic started to move a little faster now. Finally getting to our apartment, we grabbed our bags and settled. The U-Haul would come in a couple days with all out furniture and other belongings. We rented a 2 bedroom 1 bath home, sure it was small but we're a small family. My mother took the "masters", which was only a little bigger then the normal bedroom, and I took the only room left. Goober of course sprinted around the small apartment, smelling everything and anything he could get his nose on. I shook my head with a smile at my little baby boy, walking to my new room and unpacking my bags, humming a little tune as I did so.
"Alright honey well I'll be back in a couple of hours, be good ok," my mother walked in my room kissing my forehead.
"I'll try not to throw any wild parties," I smirked hugging her.
"Very funny," she chuckled and walked off, grabbing everything she needed and headed out.
I looked around the empty room, laying down on the warm carpet. Scrolling through my phone and finding my best friend's number, calling her up.

"Hello?"
"Hey Helena! How you doing?" I smiled glad to hear her voice again, kicking my feet in the air.
"I'm good girl! Made it to the big city yet?"
"Yeah just now, really wish you were here with me though, you'd love it down here,"
"Yeah me too chica, but hey I'll always visit and same for you, I swear if I don't see you're ass I will drag you back up to this icy prison!!! Understand!"
"Yes yes you won't have to worry about that," I laughed at her aggressive yet loving nature.
"Ok good! Anyway I got to go, my mom wants to hit the mall real quick, hopefully I'll see you soon!"
"Yeah hopefully! Bye love you, kkkiisssssiiieesssss!"
"Kissies," She chuckled hanging up the phone.
I tossed my phone on the floor next to me with a smile on my face. Me and Helena have been besties since our diaper ages. She's been there for me and I've been there for her. So when we found out I was moving it was heart breaking. We plan to visit each other often but I have a feeling it's not gonna work out so well. She'll have her life and I'll have mine....I guess we'll just have to see how long this lasts.
Besides from the cars and people outside loud music was being blasted from out new neighbors upstairs.
"Guess I should make some friends," I rolled my eyes and headed upstairs to the next floor, following the music and knocked on the door. A couple minutes went by and I knocked again, little louder this time. The door knob jiggled and a tall grim faced boy opened it up.
"Yes..." he glared.
"Oh I'm sorry to disturb you but could you just lower the music a little bit," I smiled up at him.
"Oh...I'm sorry is it too loud for you your majesty?!?" He mocked my sweet tone.
"Hey I'm not trying to be rude, you're just blasting the music and I can hear it from down stairs," I crossed my arms.
"Ooohhhhh you're the newbie aren't you," he smirked leaning on the door frame.
"Y-yeah? How'd y-,"
"Everyone knows everything that goes around here," he interrupted. "Where you from?"
"Maine,"
"Hm well welcome to New York twerp," he spat and slammed the door in my face.

Well that's one way to make friends.....

"Yes sir," I nodded to Mr. Saki.
"Good...well Mrs. [your last name], welcome to the corporation," Saki folded his hands on his desk.
"Really! Thank you so much sir," I said a little to excited.
"Please, call me Oroku.....Oroku Saki,"

"What wwwhhaattt!!!! DJ Mikey in the house!" Mike jumped on the couch with his brothers, back from the kitchen making popcorn.
"Got the popcorn?" Donnie looked up at mike from the floor.
"When don't I," he said popping one in his mouth.
Raph attempted to take a handful of the buttery snack.
"Whoa whoa whoa! What's the magic wwoorrdddd," Mike smirked, pulling the bow away from Raph.
"Give me some damn popcorn before I bash your head in the ground...." Raph grunted.
"That'll do," Mike gave a nervous smile, passing the popcorn to Raph.
"Hm," he glared. "You know, I don't feel like a movie night today, watch it without me, I'm heading topside," Raph got up and handed the bowl to Leo.
"Raph come on, this is family time," Leo said in a stern tone.
"I see you guys everyday, every hour, every minute...I'm taking a walk," Raph snarled and walked off. Leo turning back to the tv, crossed armed.
"Don't worry Leo, he's just a little grumpy," Don got up and sat in Raph's seat.
"When isn't he......" Leo growled.

I went topside and sat on an edge of a building, staring down at the blur of cars and lights. Closing my eyes I felt my surroundings, letting my mind relax and go blank. It was a little trick Master Splinter taught me when I was younger, whenever I felt angry or stressed he said to just go to a comfortable place and close my eyes, block everything out. All my worries, my fears, my anger....everything, and just breath. I took those deep breath in and out, in and out.
The reason for why I was angry???
In all honesty I had no reason, I just felt frustrated.
I opened my eyes again, and felt the stress lift off my shoulders a bit. Looking up to the sky I saw a shooting star past. I was never the superstitions type, but for some reason at that moment I shut my eyes tight and made a wish.

I'd love to tell you what it was....but then it wouldn't come true now would it.....

Hey guys!!!! Happy to get this new and improved version out! Really hope you guys enjoyed it!!!!
Anyway hope y'all have a wonderful Day/Night
