One-

Dragging the suitcase over the rocky gravel my arm ached, the weight pulling against my shoulder. Coming to a stop I adjusted the books in my other hand, setting the map of the campus neatly on top giving me a clearer view. Looking around the quad filled with lively students running around. Mothers clung to their children, praying they never have to let their baby go. Fathers pulling at the mothers, telling them they're making a scene. Even though every one else is crying too.

Upper classman stop and point the freshman in the right direction of their home for the next ten months. Its louder than you'd think. The sound of a women flows through the speakers that hang around the quad giving it sound. She repeats the same thing. "Welcome back bash starts at six. Freshman hope to meet you all there!" Her voice is high pitched, almost like a mouse.

"Watch out." Snapping me from my daze, a boy with long brown hair on a skate board shot by me. Stumbling back my body bumped into someone else my arms releasing everything I was holding as our bodies fell to the gravel together. Landing ontop of him I managed to catch my breath. Moving my brown hair from my eyes I looked down at my savior who was looking staright up at me. Instantly I pushed away, my feet tripping over my fallen books. Gasping I fell to the ground again, my back hit the ground hard letting out an oomf.

The boy stumbled to his feet as I pushed my self up onto my elbows. "You alright?" He asked me reaching out his hand. Laughing a little I nodded.

"Are you?" I asked as I stood up straight.

He nodded flashing his pearly whites. "Tell you the truth I hope non of the guys on the football team saw that. It wouldn't be good for my reputation if everyone saw me get trampled by a girl." his laugh slipped from his lips causing a blush to fill my cheeks. "Jax." When I wen't to shake his hand only did I notice he still had my hand in his.

"Lexi." I laughed looking down at our intertwined hands.

Jax smiled a little wider as we still shook hands. "Nice to meet you Lexi." Pulling my hand away from his I laughed a little more. Bending down to pick up my books he snapped from his daze. "Here, let me help you." Bending down next to me he picked up my books handing them to me.

"Thank you." Adjusting them in my grip I stood up. "Could you tell me-" Before I could finish the sentence, the voice from over the speaker filled my ears, looking past Jax a blonde was calling for him, her hair bouncing as she walked. As she noticed me her hand squeezed against the coffee cup in her hand. Once she was close enough she tripped past Jax, sending her coffee straight for my white dress.

Before I could escape its path it had hit my dress. My hands flew up in disbelief dropping my books for a second time, my chest rising with anger as the coffee dripped down my bare legs. "God Becca becareful." Jax stopped looking at me. "Hang on, I'll go find you some napkins." Jax took off in the opposite direction.

Running my hands over the hem of my dress that was soaked in coffee I scoffed. Dropping it I looked up at Becca who had an evil smile on her face. "What?" I asked raising an eyebrow at her.

She leaned in closer to me her index finger pointing for my nose. "Jax is mine, stay away from him."

Taking a step back from her I laughed. "I just met him god. Cray girlfriend much." Her eyes widenend and her mouth parted to say something just as Jax ran back, a few pieces of tissue in his hands. Handing them to me he apoligized for not finding anything else. "It's fine, really." Patting the large coffee stain I sighed. Jax bent over picking up my books once again. This time he placed them on top of my suit case.

"We should go." Becca wrapped her arm through Jax's a smile pulling on her lips. "Bye." She said to me, hatred lingering behind her words.

Jax looked towards me smiling again. "See you around Lexi." Watching them walk off I turned back to the map. Sighing I figured out where I was, a breath of relief filling my lungs. Grabbing everything I pulled the suitcase behind me once again.
