Thud. Thud. Thud.
The rain was surprisingly heavy that night. It was hitting the surfaces with the force of bullet fire. Bystanders looking up at 12:00 at night would've seen that all the stars and the moon disappeared.

The green light seeped through my fingers and died off. Damn, I thought, The darkness is too strong. I walked through the darkness, hoping that someone could find me. "Watrid!" I heard a familiar voice. It was that of Miles 'Tails' Prower. "Y-yes?" I called through the ever-thickening darkness. "Oh, thank God. I thought I recognised your thermal readings. Second coldest readouts."
"While that's all interesting, my non-Chaos light fades almost instantly. This darkness is too much."
"Hold a Chaos orb up then."
And so I did. A green light illuminated the surroundings. The surroundings I'd never forget. Dead Mobians littered the floor. Most of their faces were distorted in fear. Others weren't recognisable. I saw a figure limp towards me.
