Scott didn't go to bed that night, he wanted to give Mitch time and space to think. He just slept on the couch, only waking up three times due to nightmares.
In the morning he woke Scarlet up and got her ready before making breakfest.
Mitch walked out of the bedroom soon after breakfast was done. He didn't talk to Scott, he just grabbed his stuff, kissed Scarlet goodbye, and left.
Scott took Scarlet to school and met with Alex. They went to get coffee and catch up. "So, how's Mitch?" Alex asked casually before sipping his coffee. Scott sighed and rubbed his forehead, "I just- I don't understand him sometimes. He's pissing me off." He snarled. "What happened?" Alex asked. "He thinks I'm dating you. Can you believe that?" Scott asked with a scoff. Alex smirked, "No, not really. Did you tell him we're just friends?" He asked. "He doesn't believe me. He thinks I'm going to jump for the chance to cheat on him, like I didn't want to marry him in the first place." Scott said angrily, raising his voice slightly.
Alex just listened and nodded as Scott vented and walked into his home. "I love Mitch, I really do. But I've spent years as a prisoner in some camp, then I come home and he has the audacity to say that I'm cheating on him?!" Scott shouted angrily once they were at Alex's apartment.
Alex nodded, "You could use a drink." He sighed before standing from his spot on the couch to grab whisky. When he got back with two glasses, Scott had his face in his hands. "I just- I want to be happy with my family, why doesn't he understand that?" Scott asked, sighing in annoyance.
"So do that." Alex nodded before getting another drink. "What?" Scott asked in confusion before taking a sip of the drink he'd been given. "Make a family, make them happy." Alex shrugged. "How am I supposed to make Mith happy when all he does is criticize?" Scott asked disappointedly. "I wasn't talking about with Mitch." Alex smiled before getting himself yet another drink.
The second Scott heard that pass through Alex's lips he looked up at him. Alex sighed and quickly pressed his lips to Scott's, placing one hand around the back of his neck. Scott shook his head and pushed on Alex's chest, sighing when Alex pulled him back and continued to kiss him.
Alex moved on top of Scott and kept kissing him, slipping his hands under Scott's shirt. Scott sighed and pushed Alex off, standing up so he couldn't climb back on top of him. "Are you insane?! I'm married, Alex!" Scott shouted. Alex rolled his eyes and stood up, trying to kiss Scott again, but the blonde just pushed him away.
"I'm not cheating on my husband." Scott sighed as he walked away from Alex in a hurry. "Why not?" Alex asked as he pushed Scott against a wall and kissed his neck. "You said it yourself, he pisses you off." Alex mumbled. "That doesn't mean I want to have an affair, Alex. Get off!" Scott shouted before pushing Alex off of him.
Alex looked up at Scott from the floor in shock and held his wrist. Scott sighed, "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." He mumbled as he helped Alex stand up. "I just want to take care of you." Alex mumbled sadly, looking up at Scott with his arms around his neck once again.
Scott sighed and closed his eyes, shaking his head.
