Chapter 2- Help is With Him

A while after what had happened with Ein,

Aph was staying later than normal for werewolf club. She was helping her pups with various things and helping to plan events they wanted to go on, and so forth. At one point during this, Ein approached her, "And what are you doing making decisions behind my back, Aphmau darling?" he said once again with that aggravating purr. "I'm not making decisions, Ein. Just helping with telling them what events we might be able to go through with and what not," she said it lightly, hoping the tone didn't get Ein anymore aggravated than he already was. "Well, I will be helping then, as your alpha male." He made sure the last two words had a little more sting to them, and Aph felt it through her bones. Dotty then came up to them, "Okay, so I have such a great idea Alphas!" she said, smiling wide, "We could host a special hide and see-" "Thats enough, Dotty. I don't want to hear about your games of hide and seek, and how well you can sniff out other players," Ein said suddenly. What he said didn't surprise me, however, knowing how he'd been acting lately. I was about to say something, but thats when Dotty looked to me, as if telling me not to say anything, and continued to walk away.

*Time skip to after*

We had just finished with werewolf club when Ein approached me on my way to my car. "Remember, Aphmau darling, the big decision," I had forgotten! I may not be female alpha for much longer. It was a terrifying thought, knowing I'd lose my pups. But I pushed that thought back for now as I got into the car with my mother quickly and was driven home.

*Time skip to after* (Again?)

When we finally got home I jumped out of the car quickly, running to the door quickly and unlocking it with my own keys as I ran to my room. I sat down on my bed, pulling out my phone, I texted Aaron:

(Texting)

Aph: Hey.

Aaron: Hey Aph.

Aph: I've been having alot of trouble lately, Aaron...

Aaron: I thought you'd say something like that.

Aph: Yeah. My pups haven't been following lately and Ein's been taking alot more control than he needs to be. He may even be forcing me and the pups to decide if I stay female alpha or not.

Aaron: Well...I'll be here for you, Aph.

Aph: I know. Sometimes I just...don't know what to do.

*End Text*

Aaron suddenly called, and Aph picked up quickly. "Aph..." he said it quietly, his voice rough. "Are you sick Aaron?" Aph asked, slightly worried. "No...my throat has just been sore lately," he said it again in that rough voice, coughing directly afterward. "Are you-" "Yes, I'm fine. Ignore it, I just wanna talk to you right now. Sick or not," he said it, coughing louder. Like he said, she tried to ignore it. It didn't work, but she wouldn't mention that to him. "Well...I'm just...worried about the pups. What if when Ein leads them, he doesn't lead them correctly?" The question came to her head so suddenly, she wouldn't expect herself to come up with it normally, but she did. "Well, sounds like a bad alpha male...*cough*...to me. I can...maybe come to..," the rest was garbled words she couldn't understand, and she knew the connection was somehow being interfered with. "Aaron...I can't hear you." No reply. "...Aaron?" Suddenly, another cough. "Sorry, something up with my phone. What I was trying to say was that I could come and make sure Ein isn't the alpha male anymore if I need to. I'm known as a pretty tough person to the wolves, I'm sure I could do something..," "You don't have to! Please...don't do anything that might get you in trouble. I don't want all this distracting you." "Alright. Whatever you want, Aphmau, I'll give you it..," he muttered something else she didn't understand, but she just ignored it. "Anyway...anything happy going on, Aph?"
