Chapter One: The Graduation

Author's note: This is my first story on here and I'm pretty new to this stuff so some of these chapters are short and not really thoroughly detailed. But its my best, so I hope you enjoy! (Btw, I'm not sure how the graduation worked out in Naruto or how they were divided up in teams, so it'll be different.)

Today was the day Lia had been waiting for. Her graduation from the ninja academy.
"Get up, Lia. This isn't a day you want to miss." A light shake awoke Lia from her deep sleep.
"Hnng..." Lia slowly opened her eyes, squinting at her sister who woke her. "Oh. Its you." Lia immediately got up.
"...Mom and Dad are waiting downstairs for you." Ria walked to the bedroom door and twisted the doorknob.
"Yeah, yeah, tell them I'm coming." Lia rubbed her eyes and hopped off her bed.
Ria was Lia's older sister, older by five years, making her 17. Ria was a calm and collected person with a good reputation among the village and she had many friends. She was also very smart and strong, which was one of the reasons Lia looked up to her and admired her hard work.
Now that Lia was graduating, she was thinking of putting her goal as beating her sister at intelligence and her strength. Perhaps even passing her own two parents, Alys Anayame, their mother, and Kyla Anayame, their father.
Lia stared at her reflection in the mirror. Messy hair, dark eye bags, and a tired looking face. She grabbed her comb from one of her nearby dressers and started to comb her dark brown hair.
"Ugh..." She struggled with her tangled hair. "This sucks to be a happy day..." She sighed and went downstairs, smelling food from the kitchen. "Ooh, it smells good!" And she ran down the stairs, rushing to the kitchen table, greeting her mother and her father.
"Morning." Lia's mother said and her dad followed with the same words.
"Okay, I'm gonna eat real quick and dress up and then I'll be out the door." Lia said. "Whew..." Lia let out a sigh of relief. "I'm finally going to graduate." Lia couldn't help but smile, but she quickly shoved a piece of toast in her mouth and added some water with it.
After her breakfast, Lia quickly ran upstairs to change into her regular everyday outfit, except a small change.
She had the Konoha headband and she tied it onto her waist.
Looking at her tall mirror, she examined herself thoroughly, hoping she didn't look too bad with her headband on. Eventually, she started to walk to school, saying her goodbyes to her mother, father, and sister.
Once she arrived at the academy, a crowd of teachers and students crowded the whole school. Lia eventually found her classmates and joined them. Then, everyone was told to join together.
It was finally the time that Lia had officially graduated.
After a long speech, Lia returned home to tell her mom and dad of what happened, excited and happy.
"They'll be so happy!" She smiled to herself and opened the front door to her house.
"Welcome home!" Her mother welcomed her with a hug.
"Congratulations." Her father joined in.
"Congratulations." Ria said and patted her on the back along with a warm smile.
"Thank you, mom, dad, Ria." Lia smiled.
After the celebration of Lia's family, Lia sat outside while the sun was going down, holding her Konoha headband in her hands.
"I wonder who my teammates will be..." Lia thought, hoping it was one of her classmates she liked or got along with.
"Oh, your out here by yourself?" Ria sat down next to her. "Looking at your headband?"
"Yeah." She nodded. "Its really great I've finally graduated."
"I'm happy for you." Ria flashed a warm smile at her younger sister. "But I have to tell you, being a ninja is hard. You mustn't show weakness and you should never give up, no matter how hard a task is."
"I know that." Lia nodded. "Hey sis, do you know how those three-man squads are divided up?"
"Its based on teamwork and your abilities." Ria explained. "Maybe sometimes it depends on how well you know some specific things or things you don't know."
"Oh okay." Lia nodded again. "Thanks sis."
"Mhm." Ria said and walked inside. "Come inside soon."
"I will." Lia said.

Note: I couldn't find a way for the disappearance scene yet, but I'm sure it should be coming in the next chapter.
