Run from temptations that capture young people. Always do the right thing. Be faithful, loving, and easy to get along with. Worship with people whose hearts are pure.
-----2 Timothy 2:22We are faced with peer pressure each and everyday. Some are small situations. Some are big situations. No matter what happens, do not give in. Always remember than you are capable of anything, but one wrong choice can change the rest of your life. And you are stronger than to choose a bad choice because you are afraid of what people may think of you.
Peer pressure can be small. Just choosing to gossip when all of your friends are gossiping is giving into peer pressure. I know, I give in a lot, but don't. It can save us guilt and becoming an untrustworthy friend.
Peer pressure can also be big. Choosing to drink when you are with a friend is not only bad, but could cause a big impact on your life. When you drink, you are irresponsible. If you wind up making 1 bad choice, you could end up in jail the rest of your life or worse.
Just remember that God is bigger than any peer pressure you may face. If you go towards God, He will help you, He will save you. Do not be afraid of not being able to resist peer pressure because with God anything is possible.
Set an example to others. Make people want to follow you, but in your well doings. Make others want to do good, and show them there is nothing wrong with not doing what everyone else is.
Another way to save yourself from peer pressure, is hanging out with the right crowd. Hang out with people who will make a good impact on your life. Hang out with people who make you want to be a better person.
Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, conduct, love, in faith and in purity.
