"I'm Namjoon, the president of the student council." He continued with his deep voice.
I continued staring at my floating cereal, too anxious to move.
However, I was quickly forced to look up due to Krystal nudging my side with her shoulder.
My eyes widened as my gaze was met with Namjoon almond shaped eyes. He looked even more beautiful and captivating up close. His figure was lean and tall, bended over slightly as he held his large hand out for me to shake, his plump lips shaped into a soft smile.
"Gabrielle." I managed to force out of the back of my throat as my shaky finger found his.
"Nice to meet you, Gabrielle." He spoke with a subtle smile as he shook my hand with a firm grip. "Like I said, I'm the president of the student council, so it is my main job to make sure all students feel at home and have a good time studying at Lantford. What school did you go to before coming here?" He asked curiously, raising an eyebrow.
"I-I didn't go to school." I spoke softly, Namjoon widening his eyes slightly as I went on. "I received private tutoring from my guardian, back in Sweden. I only found out I was a fire bender a couple of months ago, so my guardian decided to send me here." I finished with a small smile.
Namjoon let out a low whistle as he shoved his hands in the pockets of his dark jeans. "Sweden? That's quite the distance..." He trailed off, eyeing me with curiosity.
Krystal decided to clear her throat next to me, reminding me of her presence. "Well, thanks for your greeting Namjoon, but Gabrielle here is doing fine. Now if you excuse us, I will bring her to her first class before I'll be late for my own." She spoke lowly, pulling me with her as she stood up.
"No need for that." Namjoon spoke calmly to her, to which Krystal bit the insides of her cheeks, clearly irritated by his presence. He smiled again as he turned his full attention onto me. "What's your first class?"
"Politics and history, with Mr. Yung, I believe." I answered him softly, trying not to evaporate into thin air due to Krystal's piercing gaze into the side of my head.
"Perfect." Namjoon smiled. "Jungkook can walk with you, he follows that class as well. Didn't do too great last year, so he has to repeat all his first year theory classes."
Krystal snorted loudly at that, making Namjoon turn his gaze towards her, frowning slightly. "Sorry, what was your name again, Diamond?" He asked, a hint of mock in his voice.
Krystal rolled her eyes at that, a playful smile on her lips. "Very funny Namjoon." She sighed before tuning towards me. "I'm off then, your class is quite close but I need to walk to the outskirts of the campus for mine... See you for lunch!" She shouted before she ran off, waving before disappearing in the corridor.
Namjoon chuckled as we watched her walk off. "She always has such an attitude when I try to talk to her." He spoke to me as he shook his head slightly.
I grimaced before answering. "Don't take it personally." I shrugged, not sure what else to say.
He let out a brief laugh, leaning backwards. "Oh no, I don't. I quite like it actually..." He trailed off, biting his lip. "Anyways, let me get Jungkook to bring you to class." He turned around, waving his arm in the air.
To my surprise, everyone at the table was already watching us curiously. Even Yoongi's piercing gaze was fixed in our direction, a hint of interest in his eyes. "Jungkook, can you help me out here?!" Namjoon shouted before turning towards me again.
I held my breathe as Jungkook stood up from his chair eagerly, striding towards us in a heartbeat.
The boy walked fast.
