“Rebekah, hurry up. Put your dress on, it’s on your bed. We are running late as it is!” she screamed at me even though she was just outside my door. I heard her shut the front door and heard a car leave the driveway. I quickly put down the curling iron and turned it off. I ran out of my en-suite, took my dressing gown off as I was running and picked up my dress. It was strapless black dress with sparkles all over it, a bow around my waist and it went just below my knees. I quickly slipped the dress over my head and adjusted it around so it fitted perfectly. I ran to my walk in closet and found my white high heels that had a lace over them. The high heels were about 4 inches. I put them on and ran as fast as I could in these out of my door, down the hallway, through the family room and down the stairs. I went to the small table next to the door and snatched the keys. I opened the door, slammed it shut and locked it as fast as I could. I could hear the clicking of my heels as I ran across the concrete and ran towards my HK Monaro GTS 327, It is blue. My Opa bought this for me on my sixteenth birthday. I opened the door with lots of force and shut it with just as much. I looked up and pressed the key that opened the gate. I shoved the keys in the exhaust, turned the key, put it in gear and sped out of the gate. As I got out of the driveway I pressed the button to shut the gate and continued to drive. I am not going to go into much detail, but I may have gone through a couple of red lights and nearly ran people or cars over. When I got there I jumped out of the car and ran towards the door. I quickly locked the car and I bust through the door. Everyone was drinking, dancing, laughing and talking. But everyone wasn’t a big crowd. There were only 5 families here. I let out a breathe that I must have held for a while and walked inside. I walked around the room until I saw my mother. She excuses herself and walked towards me. “So you finally decide to join us” My mother told me quiet loudly.

“I’m sorry, I lost track of time” I told my mum. She shook her head and put her hands on her hips.

“You know how important this is. We have gone her ever year ever since you were 12. And you are 17, this is the most important year for you. You have come of age and-“My mother went on but I cut her off.

“Is that Mikeala? I think so. Mum I have to go” I said and quickly walked off. I continued to walk until I was sure she was gone. I continued walking around until I saw the alcohol; I smiled and walked over there. I grabbed a glass of champagne from one of the waiters and took a sip.

“So she finally arrives” Said someone from behind me. I turned around and it was Reece. I laughed, walked up to him and gave him a hug.

“Hey, look at you. You’re like, buff. You know steroids are really bad for you” I told him with a serious face. He just laughed and shook his head. Reece had a black shirt, a white bow tie, a and a white jacket with matching pants. He had shine black shoes on also. I looked up and saw his face. He has all his black hair tamed, unlike most the other times. And he has the most beautiful green eyes I have ever seen.

“And how could anybody forget you. With your beauty just coming off as vibes” He laughed to me.

“Everyone is feeling it” I told him with my hands to the sides. He continued to laugh and I push him with my free hand. He put his hand on his chest and acted hurt.

“So are you ready?” I asked Reece.

“Let me think? My parents have been waiting for our generation so we can continue on what happen it 1793, I think?” He said asking the last part.

“1795”I corrected him as I took a sip.

“Well, you know your history” He told me with a slight eyebrow wiggle. I giggled and flashed my teeth. I thought for a second about something completely different and zoned out.
