Walking into the hall I feel my palms sweating and my heart rushing, I begin to play with my ring on my right-hand ring finger that she gave me for my sixteenth, it managed to calm me down enough for me to be able to find my own seat without stumbling over my own two feet. As I take my seat it dawns on me, this is a real Finals exam, oh gosh soon we'd be out of school on our ten-week summer holidays. Ten weeks to do whatever I want; with whoever I want. Of course, myself and everybody else knew exactly who I was going to spend my whole summer with. Beca. My best friend. Or so everyone thought, but no one but us knew that we're meant to be, soul mates you might say. The exam board officer begins speaking and I decide it's time to pay attention, get my head in the game, get these exams done so I can spend two and a half months with my girl
"French listening finals exam, 30 minutes long, 5 minutes extra reading time. Your exam begins now, after the first five minutes we will play the recording and will not stop for anything other than an emergency until the exam is finished."
I open my paper and begin to read the questions to see if I can guess what kind of vocabulary is going to come up. Aha! Question on jobs and careers, a question on food and healthy living, and a question on holidays, that's at least a solid 12 marks I have guaranteed after what I have revised. Before I know it, the recording is started.
30 minutes pass by and the exam is finished, I feel relaxed now that it's over with and I feel like I have most of the marks down so that's at least a c grade I can get, with my coursework on top it should be around a B or low A grade. Not too shabby chlo, you've done yourself and everyone else proud.
I walk out of the exam hall with a smile on my face, excited to find my girl to tell her how I did, we have a free timetable now since its exam season, I quickly run up to the drama studio to grab my bag from the teacher's room and tell her about how my exam went seeing as she asked me to come and find her since she knew I was nervous about it. After grabbing my bag with my phone in it, I turn it on and text Beca to see where she is and I get a reply almost instantly,
"in the humanities hub babe <3 hope your exam went well, see you soon xx"
Gosh she's so cute, I make my way down to where she is and see her sat with Stacie and fat Amy, two of our shared best friends, "hey guys." I say as I walk over and plonk myself down on becas knee. Knowing no one would bat an eyelash seeing as we always have been this close.
"oh hey chlo, how'd your exam go" Amy asks beating Beca to the punchline.
"well....... I did good I think, I mean I thought the questions were pretty simple and most of what I revised came up bar family life, but I kind of guessed it wouldn't come up seeing as it hasn't come up in past papers so why would it have this year?"
This time its beca who talks "that's great chlo, I'm so proud of you, if you feel like you did okay then you probably have, I mean you're pretty good at French right?" She says with her head on my shoulder and arms around my waist.
"yeah, well at least I think I am haha! Hey becs what are you doing tonight" I ask her hoping she would say shes free so she can sleep at mine seeing as my mom is away on a business trip and I hate being alone in that house at night.
"nothing I don't think, why what did you have in mind?" thank god now she can sleep at mine her mom won't say no anyway.
"wanna sleep at mine? Moms away on business and you know I hate staying alone in that house especially at night." I say turning round to meet her face.
" yeah sure ill let mom know and we can call round on the way home and pick some stuff up for me tomorrow."
Good more time I get to spend with my girl the better.
" great ill meet you at my car after school, I have to get going I have Russian lit now, yay"
I start walking to Russian lit, room 204 just one hour left then I can spend the night with my girl.
Russian lit goes pretty quick today and before I knew it the bell was ringing, I quickly packed my things up and walked to my car to find my girl standing there leaning on the passenger door waiting for me, I walk up to the car and unlock the doors and we climb in without saying a word to each other I start the ignition and make my way to beca's house.
"do you wanna run in on your own or want me to come with you?" I ask her already knowing shell want me to come in with her.
"come in with me baby." I knew it.
"of course" we make our way out of my car into her house and up the stairs to her bedroom, before I even have the chance to take two steps into the room I hear the door close behind me and the next thing I know im pressed against it with becas lips attached to mine, it takes me a second or two realise whats happening before I kiss her back.
"hmm, baby ive been waiting to kiss you all day" god shes so adorable with the way she calls me baby I swear I could melt into a big puddle of ginger right here right now.
"me too babe, lets get you some clothes for tomorrow and some sweatpants for tonight, ooh and I want your burgundy hoody again its so comfy!"
She rolls her eyes at me because last time I borrowed that hoody she only got it back once it stopped smelling like her.
" you love me borrowing your sweatshirts becs remember you told me I look super sexy when I have it on with nothing but underwear, you said it makes my legs seem longer. Remember?"
" yeah I do actually , then you started prancing around your room, you were so cute, infact you still are." gosh she knows how to make my heart melt.
"come on hurry up and get your stuff so I can get you outta the ones your in now" I wink at her. I can tell shes trying to stop herself from blushing, its so cute.
"well then I best hurry, cant keep my princess waiting now can I? I mean shes had to wait long enough making that silly rule about waiting at least 2 months, if you know what I mean, and now you want me outta my pants huh?" damn me and my stupid I want to wait at least a couple of months before we take our relationship to the next level. I walk towards her, grab the back of her neck and pull her in for a deep passionate kiss.
" screw that rule, I know its only been a month and a bit but tonight I need you, I know this is real I mean do we seriously think anything is going to stop us from being in love with each other as much as we do now right?"
" right chlo, of course as long as I love you and you love me that's all we ever need."
"I love you becs" I say genuinely meaning it.
"I love you too princess" god I really do love her.
