       "Here you are, sweets."
Your mom says, placing your plate of breakfast in front of you.
You look down, your stomach growling with hunger, but your mind- it had another decision.

"Thanks, mom," You start, pushing your food away from you.
       "Though, I'm not hungry."

Your mom was taken back by your sudden actions, but calmly, walked toward you.

"Not hungry?" She asked, picking up your plate.

You simply nod, staring down at the wooden table before you. You didn't want to eat. You were down right hungry, but you just couldn't.

        "Yeah..."

You swallowed hard, blinking back few tears in your eyes, and lifted yourself up from the table.

"Y/n?" Your mom called you name, worry surrounded her voice as she watched you walk up your stairs.

For the past two days you've been feeling down. Your moods have changed, your actions, even the way you dressed. You were just...lost in the feels.

You shut your door behind you with your foot as you walk over to the full-body length mirror. You glance up, the posters or your favorite band(s) and model(s) hung up where you could see.

You sighed, "Why aren't I that pretty?"

Yes, (y/n) (m/n) (l/n), is insecure. The girl with the most amazing boyfriend, her wonderful parent, and gorgeous looks- she is hitting the moods, crawling up in her fears.

You sit down cross legged in front of your mirror, grabbing a sharpie. You hesitantly look at it, then open the cap to write ungrateful words all over the mirror in front of you.

As you were about to write it your mom came in. "Y/n? What are you doing?!"

You closed the cap on the sharpie, embarrassed that she saw you and throw it across the room.
She slowly walked over, sitting down besides you. She looked at you through the mirror, a wide smile spread across her face.

"Mom...?" You managed to say, looking up into the mirror as well.

         "Yes, honey?"

You sniffled, "Why- um...why can't I look like them?"

Your mom lightly chuckled to herself, petting your hair. "Why? Because you look so much better than they do. And I know you don't think so, but sweetie, you are so special, so perfect, Raphael wouldn't be with you if you looked like that. He's with you because you are the way you are."

You slightly smile, knowing that she was right in way. If Raphael didn't like the way you looked then he wouldn't be with you. But damn, he does love the way you look.

"Thank you, momma." You say, hugging her tightly.

"You're very welcome. Now remember, you don't need a guy to tell you you're beautiful." She said before getting up and walking out. You sigh and nod, then stand up, wiping your tears and putting a smile onto your face.

             I am beautiful...

Hey guys! I wanted to write this today because so many girls (and guys) are so insecure about, not just body image, but so many other things. Y'all need to remember that even if you don't feel like you're pretty, or even good enough, hell, you are! You have no idea! And screw all them people who think only guys can make you feel that way because no guy can truly tell you how to act and what to think about yourself! Yes, a guy can make you feel like you are the world, sometimes, but don't count on one to do so.

You need to have a talk with yourself, and really tell yourself that you are good enough, you are beautiful, and if that doesn't work, then come talk to me or a family member. Remember, you aren't alone and that there are other people feeling the same way.

Stay positive and live life! You only have one...

        Love you guys ~

                Angie.
