Keith!
His voice crackled over the intercom, a trembling loud blast coming through my helmets speakers at an alarmingly high pitch. I lick my lips, yanking on the steering of the red lion to avoid an asteroid and jamming my thumb at the red button located on the side, obliterating a small alien ship as it rounds another chunk of space rock.
Keith!!
I blink rapidly, squinting through the sweat that drips from my brow, and fire again, pulling around in a large circle and blasting through half a dozen more little ships, their green hulls exploding, small successions of fire erupting in a line. But i don't stop to watch, in an in instant I've already swerved around another asteroid and another and am firing away at yet another ship, though it's bullets find reds back leg and ping of the hard armour, never the less sending a shudder through my lion.
Keith! Please!
I glare at an asteroid that appears right in front of me, only just turning enough so that reds side takes most of the impact, better that than a head on collision. I grunt with the force of it never the less, the grunt turning into a growl.
What is it lance?
I bark, quickly getting rid of a few ships that pop up and dodge around an asteroid. I use my locations divice to point me in the right directing of the blue paladin, although we're still separated by a dozen or so enemy ships and asteroids
I'm-
He grunts and i can hear the strain on his voice, a little shaky. It comes to my realisation how scared he is. Well, i was scared too, but lance dealt with his fear differently to me, and i had noticed this morning how tired he was, so in my haste to get to him i collide head first with an enemy ship.
Ah! Quiznark! Keith hurry my weapons are dow-
He yelps suddenly and I can hear a sickening thud through the intercom. There's a strange rattling sound which I realise is his helmet. It must of fallen off and rolled across the small cockpit of the blue lion.
Lance? Lance! Lance buddy you alright!?
That's hunk, his voice panicky and stained, but I know he's busy with the other two palinins on one of the moon's evacuating is inhabitance before a giant thirsty space frog arrives and devours it, or something like that, it had been Coran who was tasked with explaining their mission.
I've got him hunk
I reassure the yellow palidin, but when I look at the locations device again blue is nowhere to be seen. I curse, dodging around asteroids and ships alike, focusing on just getting to where lance was last shown to be before I get back to work eliminating these enemy ships. I scan the area, bursting out of the asteroid field just in time to catch a glimpse of the blue lion plummeting towards the planet's surface through a storm of green hulled battle ships.
