Blind

Important note! - this AU takes place in a separate universe from the cannon universe so different events will take place that don't happen in the cannon universe.

Mary's P.O.V

Mary sat in the robot lab alone with Sherlina. Today was the big day Mary had been waiting for. Her new performer bot would be activated today. She sat watching Sherlina just finish the final pieces and taking notes on her clipboard before standing up and wiping some sweat off of her forehead. "There that should be it dear he should be ready to go". Mary's face lit up smiling wide and happily giggling. She tackle hugged Sherlina from behind causing them both to smile. "I can't wait Sherlina! He looks so good you done such a good job on him!" Mary said sounding happier than she ever had.

"Ok stand back Mary I'm going to turn him on now" mary nodded standing a bit back from the table. Sherlina flipped on a switch causing a soft humming noise to be made and the bot on the table to sit up. Everything about this bot seemed so perfect. "Hello DX0000 i'm Sherlina and this is Mary we made you to be a part of our family". The tried to look at them but something was off.

The bot couldn't seem to look in there direction and his eyes where pitch black even with his glasses on. "Um turn your optical lens on now" Sherlina said quite stern and worried. Mary also seemed to get worried about the bot. The bot finally replied after a while "I-I don't know h-how...". Sherlina definitely knew something was wrong now. She softly grabbed the bots face causing him to squeak in fright. She moved his head in all directions observing his eyes. No matter what direction she looked they still looked pitch black.

"This is important how many fingers am I holding up?" She said then quickly holding up three fingers. The bot hesitated to answer worrying about his own health at this point. "Y-your holding up fingers? I-I can't even see anything you have to turn the lights on". The second that came out Sherlina knew what was wrong. She dropped the clipboard she was taking notes on. "U-um...." she quickly shot her gaze to Mary who was sitting in confusion appearing not to come to the same conclusion as her.

"Dear can you please leave? I have to work on him a little longer" Mary nodded still worried but left after Sherlina reassuring her. Sherlina slammed her head on her desk causing the bot to jump a bit. How could she make such a big mess up. This would be the end of her status over the mother of bots. This would be the end of her status of being a flawless creator who never mistakes on her bots. Each bot was suppose to be perfect with no flaws but here she was sitting in front of one of her biggest mistakes.

This was the end when this gets out to the media. Unless. She quickly got up from her desk calmly walking over to the bot holding his hand. "We have to go somewhere important follow
Me to the best you can" the bot stood up following Sherlina who took him to a big door but he didn't know that. Sherlina then put a red blindfold on his eyes to cover her mistake and then took him outside.

She walked to a small robot dumping ground that she knew for raided for bots every now and then. She sat the bot down making sure he was in a spot that he could be easily be seen at "now DX0000 you stay here, I will be back just you stay here and wait ok?" Sherlina said finally letting go of him. The bot gulped hiding his fear of being alone in the darkness "o-ok mom...". Sherlina when got up and ran fast getting away as far as she could get from the bot.

She stopped when she knew she wouldn't be able to be identified as the one who dumped the bot there and went back to calmly walking. She has no connection to her bots whatever, she just made that lie up to make her reputation look better. Besides they had four bots already Mary wouldn't even know about the bot she just left. She already had done this before to that in development bot she could pull it off again.

???'s P.O.V

The abandoned bot sat at he exact spot where Sherlina put him down for what seemed for hours. He was just activated why would mom want him to stay here? Is this a place he's going to get fixed? There was so many questions going around in his newly activated head. He then heard what heard like a bunch of humans walk close to the location he was in.

He figured it was the scientists coming to repair him so he could finally see again. "Oh lookie here!! A fully activated bot! Seems bran new!" On of the humans grabbed his arms holding him in place while another examined him. "Hey!! Let me go!! I'm waiting for my mom!" The humans just ignored him before one finally pulled off his blindfold to reveal his eyes. On instinct he then tried to feel around to get it only causing himself to swat around in random directions.

"Ah here's why he's been thrown out he's an performer bot and has been made blind!" The human laughed in a menacing tone. He squeaked finally getting the blindfold back putting it back into place on his head. "The blind thing really decreases its worth but hey free bot free cash". Something in his mind finally clicked. This is why he was dumped here. Sherlina didn't want him. He was dumped here so he would be taken away.

That realisation made his heart break in two. He went silent until he heard another voice this one sounding less menacing and more caring. The voice seemed to belong to a young female. He felt his arm being softly grabbed by a soft more caring hand and pulled close to the woman's chest. "This is my bot now scram before I get the cops to come here, I bet they'd be really happy finding your bot trafficking organisation". He felt the harsh uncaring hands letting go of him causing him to relax a bit.

"M-my mistake m-ma'am you have a good day!!" He heard them run off quickly. He felt the hand on his arm move to his cheeks rubbing them softly. "Poor dear...don't worry you can come with me I'll take good care of you...I have a husband and we can take care of you like you where our own...what's your name dear?". The bot looked up in the direction of the woman's voice and said in a sweet child like tone "I'm blind!".

The woman tilted her head then realised this was what the bot thought his name was. "Oh ok blind well you just follow me and I'll take good care of you..." blind smiles nodding letting the woman take his hand and walk off with him.
