When we all got back to school I had completely missed what we were doing next in biology. I was late anyway, so I walked into the class slowly.
'Sorry, I...' I trailed off when I smelled human blood.
Great, they were testing blood types today.
'Sit down, Molly. We are testing blood types today! Take a needle and draw some blood, then we can begin!' said Dr Jameson.
I slowly shook my head and struggled to control myself. It shouldn't bother me, but there was one scent in this room that smelt incredibly appealing. It was Jensen's. It had to be Jensen's. My hunting instincts kicked in. I was no longer Molly, I was the hunter and Jensen was my prey. I was prepared to kill everyone in the room, just to taste that blood.
I growled lowly then, for a split second, I managed to control myself. I sped out the room and went into the woods outside our house. Esme was home but I couldn't bring myself to go inside. I was horrified with myself; I had almost attacked my whole class. I would have to tell Carlisle. I didn't want to though. It felt as though I had betrayed him.
I had been noticing Jensen smelling more appealing recently but thought nothing of it. His blood though... It smelt so good. I was drawn to his blood like little kids are drawn to sweet and toy shops.
I didn't realise how long I had been out for.
'Molly?' came Carlisle's voice.
I ran towards him and sighed. School must be over, then.
'Your brothers and sisters were waiting for you but you didn't turn up,' he said calmly, 'Why did you leave early?'
'Well... I didn't realise that in biology we were doing blood types... I was late, so I walked into the classroom and... It shouldn't have bothered me, but Jensen's blood was like... I suppose Jensen is like what Bella was to Edward for me now,' I said quietly.
'Oh...' said Carlisle, 'Come inside. We'll discuss it.'
I slowly followed him inside. Everyone was in the sitting room looking rather worried.
'Are you OK?' asked Edward.
'Yeah... I suppose...' I said quietly.
'What happened?' asked Rose.
I looked at Carlisle, begging him to explain.
'Oh...' said Edward, obviously having read my thoughts.
'What?!' asked Rose again and Carlisle explained.
Everyone looked at me with worry.
'What am I going to do?' I groaned, 'Jensen is one of my best friends! I can't exactly go up to him and say "Oh, hi Jensen! I'm a vampire and I want to kill you! Have a nice day!"'
'If it only happens when you smell his blood, we might be OK. We'll see how it goes tomorrow. If you feel like it's not going to work, come home and we'll figure something out,' said Carlisle.
'Okay...' I said quietly, 'We'll have to move, won't we...'
'I'm afraid so... I don't understand why it'd have such an appeal on you... How is it different to any other blood? Every other person you've met in your three hundred years has been fine!' said Carlisle.
'We'll look after you tomorrow. Don't worry,' said Rose.
'Thanks,' I said then began to think. Had I met anyone with the ability to block out the smell of human's blood. Is that even an ability?
