We all stood just outside the clearing in the woods, waiting. Edward and Bella were going to stay up the mountain to keep her safe while the rest of us stayed and fought.

Carlisle wasn't happy with me fighting but he eventually gave in.

There was an eerie silence but I could sense the army getting nearer.

Suddenly, the entire army blitzed out of the woods and into the field. They were following Bella's scent but they were confused by the fact it ended here.

Jasper bolted from the trees with lightning speed and beheaded a newborn. He held up the head to the other newborns and they charged for him, but we intervened, tackling them.

It had begun.

The wolves sped out of the forest and join the fight. I kept one eye on Jensen while I read my opponents minds, dodging every move they made before finding my chance to finish them.

I felt unstoppable. Killing these newborns made me feel powerful. An urge that had been suppressed my whole life and I was finally able to give into it, to become the monster I was meant to be.

This is what being an immortal child felt like. And it was amazing.

I ripped the heads off more and more newborns, feeling more powerful with every body that fell by my feet.

One of them bit my shoulder and I turned around, ripping his head off.

I couldn't sense anything else apart from my anger and the newborns. I had all but forgotten my family and the wolves. There was only me and my prey.

Suddenly, it went quiet. The newborns were no more than a pile of bodies.

We hurried to drag the bodies into a fire for incineration but I still felt like I needed more. My hunger for more could never be sated now that I had a taste for death.

Edward and Bella raced towards us.

'How long?' asked Edward.

'Ten minutes tops,' she replied and I realised what she meant.

The Volturi were coming.

'The pack needs to leave. The Volturi won't honour our truce. You too, Molly,' Carlisle said.

Jacob emerged from the tree in his wolf form when there was a vicious snarl. One of the wolves tried to attack a stray newborn but it wrapped it's arms around her. Jacob tried to intervene but the newborn ended up crushing his ribs.

Carlisle told the pack to take him back and he would be there as soon as he could. He also sent me away just before the Volturi arrived. Although I still felt the need for a fight, I obliged.

Carlisle didn't come straight home but instead he went to help Jacob. When he did come back, he must have noticed something different about me.

'Molly, is everything alright?' he asked as he came in and everyone turned to me in concern.

'I feel better than I ever have before,' I grinned.

'What do you mean?' Edward asked.

'I feel... Powerful! I finally got to give into my true nature and it was amazing,' I said.

'Immortal child...' Emmett muttered.

I felt a sudden calm fall over me but I shook it off.

'No. You can't control what I feel,' I roared.

'Teenager which means rebellion,' Rosalie commented, 'But why now?'

'She had never given into her true nature before,' Carlisle sighed, 'What can we do?'
